3. Mart's info is spot on. Another opinion is that these are actually pretty decent basses - I've played a few and thought they were certainly acceptable for the price. Ovangkol neck, Wenge board, Bell Brass Frets...... I'd have one of these over the Spector, especially if you were looking to upgrade the electronics. Like most 'cheaper' instruments the weakest link is the electronics Which then basically leaves you with the materials and any sway you put into the workmanship - Warwick (Germany), Spector (China).
4.
For comparison - to show what a bargain this bass is:- http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649
Yep - I'd seen that, optimistic pricing based on current market prices but these are great basses. I'm probably going to withdraw this and keep it as a museum piece.
5. Thanks for the input guys - much appreciated as ever.... Couldn't find that much around to work out a price, so admittedly I went on the high side as can obviously always negotiate down but not up...... .

7. Bump, open to offers or possible trade for a SGC Nanyo 5 String Bass Collection
8. Looking for some input on a Korean Squire P Bass I have for sale on here. I got this recently in a roundabout trade for an early 90's Korean guitar. It's a 1993 Fender Squire Precision MIK - Maple Neck and smaller funky (or horrible depending on your view) tuners. Link to sale below. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/190427-1993-fender-squire-precision-mik-white-maple-neck/page__p__1850203#entry1850203 Looking for input on opinions on these basses - particularly around the pricing I've put on it. I've had a good google around and not found much info. Thanks In Advance
9. Arrgghh - not sure I want to be doing this but I need to make space and funds available for a good honest 5 stringer. So….. Up for Sale is my Warwick Dolphin Pro II in a Red Burst Finish. Pretty rare these, I believe only 1000 or so were made. I’ve had a good look around online and not found any other images of one in this finish. Truss rod cover says Dolphin Pro I, but as a bolt on this is a Dolphin Pro II Lovely, slim maple neck. Wenge Fretboard Ash body so fairly lightweight Same electronics as in the high end Warwick’s from the time. Active / Passive Option. Has a stick on FretFX fret light system installed. Easily removable should you wish. Battery compartment attached to the back of the headstock and then the strip of lights runs down the top of the fretboard. Withdrawn, what was I thinking?
10.
Hello Is this an active bass please? Thank you Mike
No, this is a passive bass - still more than capable of a wide range of tones though. These are great basses and if it wasn't for the fact I have two of them I'd be keeping it.
11. SOLD - - - The cull continues.........an unplanned purchase has left me needing to reduce the collection and to claw back some cash. 1993 Fender Squier Precision MIK in a very nice creamy white colour. Maple Neck and the funky smaller tuning pegs. It's a peach, barely a mark on it - I just don't use it as I mainly play over the bridge pickup, which this obviously does not have!! Tons of the classic P bass sound. Happy to listen to offers, and happy to take any input on the pricing, higher or lower ..... Unsure where to pitch the price as a '93 Korean Squier balanced with excellent condition and (to my mind) more desirable maple neck.
12.
Fancy a trade for my mint Barefaced Compact silver grill?
Sorry, not after any ampage at the moment......
13. I bought John's Custom Shop Corvette $$. John is a gent to deal with, easy to communicate with by email and on the phone. Bass packed well so arrived safely. Would happily deal with again. Thanks Again.....
14. I’m putting this one back up for sale as I think it will have more chance of selling than the metallic pink (!) one that I’ve also got. As the more expensive basses I’ve put up for sale have not sold and with too much incoming recently something needs to be moved on. Most people on here know about these basses and for my money they are the best £ for £ bass your money can buy you. Almost certainly one of the most under rated and under appreciated basses out there. Superb quality, superb range of tones, very playable basses. Transparent Red finish, a couple of dinks and dents here and there but nothing that is serious at all. The Transparent red finish highlights the lovely grain on this bass. This electrics / wiring loom have recently been upgraded with a kit from Basschat’s Ki0gon. Controls are Volume/Volume/Tone/Tone. This is an excellent upgrade and has taken an already great bass to another level, definitely a worthwhile and significant upgrade. I have kept and bagged up the original electrics and will also include these in the sale. Once this is sold I will be ordering another kit to drop into my metallic pink(!) SB301 - that’s how good the kit is! Any trial or inspection welcome and happy to send more pics or information. More than happy to ship also. Price is £175.00, remember this includes the upgraded electrics and also the stock electrics. NOW GONE........ Feel free to PM me with any trade bait, +/- cash either way... Thanks For Looking
15. Good News: I saw them in Manchester on Friday and though they were very good indeed, up until the last few months I've avoided Level 42 as the songs and bass playing used to do nothing for me my old opinion on Mark King being - impressive technique but is it musical?, also I hesitate to put this but some of the songs are 'cheesy'..again, runs for cover , of course I was basing this on the mainstream stuff and not the early stuff. .....now a bit older and wiser I've come around to it as I was looking for other strings to add to my bow (so to speak). The songs do stand up to the test of time in a cheesy / retro sort of way. I though Mark King was on top form playing wise and banter / interaction with the crowd. Bad News: I missed Down and Orange Goblin at the Academy as they were on the same night.
