1. ......Will shortly withdraw and try and sell something else if this doesn't go..... soon NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE!!!!!!!! MM USA SUB (Stingray's Ugly Brother) 4 String Black. USA Musicman quality , classic Stingray sounds and in excellent playing condition. Active 2 band EQ model. I need to be sensible about the collection and I'm getting a little attached to the fretless $$ that I've put up on here as well. Great sound, great condition. Some slight wear on the back of the painted neck as is normal. Body is in great condition. I've touched in the minor marks on the headstock with a black marker - looks great. All cleaned up and board oiled.. Can't see any wear on the board or frets to speak of Price is £399. Collection or shipment both possible. Any trial or inspection welcome. I'm in Chorley, Lancs.
2.
Hi there, You say the neck has been expertly attached by a luthier. Is the neck not original Warwick? How come it needed attaching? It looks a nice bass. Cheers Richard
Thanks Richard - it is a very nice bass indeed . Yes, the neck is an original Warwick, the original neck was fretted. I have had this neck swapped out it to make it a fretless $$. These are quite rare to find, an unlined fretless German Warwick. The RRP of an $$ is currrently £1500+
3. Bump...come and have a look at this guys - you will not be disappointed!
4.
Ah well, had to ask. Some of us venture into the dark side occasionally. Cheers GLWTS
the darkside is a very dangerous place to go....
5.
Spiky guitars of interest??
Spiky....yes Basses...yes Guitars..hell no..
6.
That's a bloody good price! Makes my Euro LX4 seem expensive!
I'd like to think they are both fairly priced - your's is more pristine than mine. Hand on heart I couldn't claim this to be pristine but it is a superb bass.
7. Are any of these linked to the SGC Nanyo Bass Collection basses? - or am I right in thinking they are just using the 'Bass Collection' 'name'? Nice bass Mikhay77 - what's it like? Any idea if this is linked to the (same factory) as the SGC Nanyo Bass Collections?
8. Gone gone gone..... For Sale / Trade as I'm not really making the most of having this bass. Open to trades on anything really - please PM me, the worst I can say is "No Thank You". Spector Euro 5LX in Black Cherry. Manufactured in 2007. Non Adjustable Tone Pump. Note that the Tone Pump is not boost only as commonly believed, see here: http://basschat.co.u...spector%20boost Amazing, high specification, high quality bass guitar. Neck through construction. Note that this bass had been converted into a fretless - with a new fretless board, but was then subsequently refretted. The board is smooth, frets crowned and plays superbly with a lovely, low, fast action There are some marks on the body of the bass from steaming off the original fretboard, please see photographs. They are like a sort of ...err.. Purple Haze (sorry Jimi...) above the neck pickup. I have tried to capture these but they are hard to capture. More than happy to supply more pictures if there is interest. The inlays on the board are the excellent, high quality, vinyl stick on types from Creative Cutz. Please contact me for any other pictures or information. Much prefer to deal in person to ensure both sides are happy. I'm based in Lancashire, as always any trial or inspection more than welcome.
9.
I have dug out an image of me with the bass many moons ago... Its not a lot but its a start. Rob
Did you report it stolen at the time? Just wondering how you would be able to show that it was stolen if not.
10. Sold a bass to Robbobass - a pleasure from start to finish. Simple, hassle free transaction. Recommended from me. Enjoy....
11.
oh I see what you did there, nice
Yep - pretty impressed with that myself
12. Reluctant, redundancy forces sale bump. Other basses I've put up have not sold so would like to move this before I get attached to it!!!
13. BumPBass
14. My recommendation would be a Farida - new or used. They do a couple of P bass copies and a couple of J copies. The whole range is great value for money.
15. NOW GONE For Sale: Warwick Neck Fretted 4 String from a 2004 $$ Corvette. Note the truss rod nut is rounded. May be salvageable by someone who has some luthier skills, otherwise makes a nice bass related ornament...
16. This thread is no more...
17. Have a look at Faridas - seriously good. Cracking basses..
18.
Many thanks Gary for your additions.
agreed - a good thread is turning into a great one. Cheers guys
19.
I have a weird desire to acquire this bass NOT because of it's alleged provenance, just 'cause it looks like a bit of fun to do up. Any thoughts from the experts on the Antorianess and potential of it please? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c36a99e6a
Ha, I'm watching this as well Mr EAD, just around the corner from us as well. Let me know if you are going to bid so we are not bidding against each other?
