Yes he is a lovely, stand-up bloke and funny too...he told me one of the funniest (and longest) jokes I have ever heard. By then, my muso fixation had waned and my L42/Stanley Clarke/Zappa albums were consigned to the back of the cupboard, while I waxed rhapsodic about Mike Mills and Mike Watt.
