I'm thinking of selling my Owen Bass Gremlin Overdrive. I've had it about a week and bought it from lemmywinks. It's a lovely pedal but I think I need a bit more drive for my main distortion (which this was going to be) so I think I'm going to spend a bit more and go for something like a Blackstar. I don't think they're making these currently so here's a fairly rare opportunity to have a handmade British boutique pedal at half it's new cost. LukeFRC sold one of these a while back and had a really good description of what it did so I hope he doesn't mind me pinching some of his listing: It has an on/bypass footswitch, and one for switching between the two different filters. Two filters 'notch' (cuts harmonics in narrow passband) and 'bandpass' (boosts harmonics in narrow passband and cuts harmonics either side of it) giving many different types of OD sounds You can tune your OD to whatever frequency you want/sounds best. Each filter has a "push to mix" button which allows it to be mixed with the clean signal with the mix control, this can be set at full unaffected allowing you to use one of the filters as a signal booster switch. The drive control ups the thickness of overdrive effect, the level sets the level of the whole output. Pretty lights tell you whats on and if your battery is running down. Here's the blurb from the website: The Bass Gremlin Overdrive analogue fx pedal has been specially developed for the bass guitar and bassist. It uses a unique very low compression natural sustain overdrive circuit that does not destroy the dynamics and the main body of the bass sound. The harmonic content is extremely well balanced to produce low to mid overdrive sounds with a high degree of transparency to the original bass tone. For the maximum player flexibility there are two foot switchable filters provided with an added feature of a mix control which can be assigned to each filter.Other features include two active split outputs and a single dry buffered output for numerous signal routing possibilities. It has had some great reviews on Harmony Central too: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...+Overdrive/10/1 Comes in very good condition with the original bag and manual. £60 plus postage. No offers as this is what I paid a week ago and I think it was very reasonable. Would p/x with cash for a Blackstar HT Dual. SOLD PENDING USUAL

Awesome cabs. I have two. I use one with a Sunn 1200s and one with a Marshall JCM800 Bass Series. Really nice having a big amp to really drive it effortlessly with loads of headroom and the Marshall to run hot with valve breakup.

Awesome. Am looking for a good synth module to go with the midi pedals I bought off here last week but reckon this might be a bit overkill. Damn tempted though. Only wanted to spend up to £150, but was looking at the smaller Nova the other day and was very interested. Have heard really great things about these.

Thinking about swapping my Marshall JCM800 Bass Series head. It's in pretty good condition (bar a couple of very small tears in the covering) and has always been looked after and flightcased since I've had it. It's been really really reliable too, it's toured Europe two or three times and the UK once since I've had it and has never had a single issue or hiccup. Sounds great, just thinking about a change. It has controls for 'Slope' (kind of works as a low shelving control I think), Bass, Mid with sweep control, Treble and Master Volume. Really cool simple valve amp, great for rock or blues etc and sounds fantastic with my Aguilar GS412. Interested in trades/swaps for other similarly powered valve heads such as Fender Bassmans or Ampeg V4's. I'm based in Bristol. Don't have any close up pictures at the moment but can take some later this week if there's any interest. It's in my rig pic below though.
Well it's certainly not short of tonal options! Tons of EQ, compression, bass intensifiers, et al. My SWR Grand Prix served me very well for almost a decade and I only sent it on its way due to my preferences changing. I was about to comment that it seems a little ridiculous for a preamp to need two rack spaces and then I remembered what I'm now using... Alex
Plus, that'd also be knocking the DB680 which has a fair few devoted fans on here.

Anyone? Now thinking I may go for the Seymour Duncan Hot Stacks that are for sale on here as I like the idea of noise canceling stacks.

Nice but presumably he isn't going to be using it when they're over here. Still have to sort my ATP ticket, really have to get it sorted.
My nephew bought one of these and to be honest, they ain't great. Unless you get it for buttons I wouldn't bother.
Errr.. not really on to comment like that in someone's for sale thread.
I have the Sunn 300t, which in my opinion is much more versatile than most other valve heads. It has the ability to access different sounds/ graphic eq via the foot switch, I prefer it to Ampeg valve heads having used SVT 2 and Classic series amps. I am not using mine at the moment (not getting any younger), opting for a lighter hybrid Eden set up due to back problems. They are a bit of a beast.... heavy and bulky.
Give me a shout if you ever decide to sell it.
