I'd definitely go for the Jamman personally. It's really easy to get loops and samples on via USB, its robust and good quality. Not too expensive either. You don't necessarily need the external foot controller either unless you need to change patches with your feet during a song or something. However, if you want to send the drummer a synched click then it may not be the best option as it is mono only.

Sorry but I'm over the moon with it, really think it's a keeper.
What sounds good with a mic won't necessarily sound good with a bass, and vice-versa. They're completely different levels and impedances.
Yea true, but this particular unit is just a mic pre, I don't think it even has an instrument input so didn't think he'd want to use it with a bass. Besides, if it was creating excessive amounts of noise when barely even turned up I think that is gonna be a pain whatever you plug into it. It seemed really badly built too. Just my opinion though of course.
Think someone has already helped some buy buying the Jazz. Its really nice.
That would be me then. So, so happy with it, really beautiful instrument. We share the same year of birth too.

I believe they are indeed the same as the Sunn 300t's. I have the hybrid version (Sunn 1200s) and really recommend it.

Sorry, this is a bit late now I guess, didn't see it. Got mine from Alan at ACG.

I bought this just before Christmas off The Beat on here and it really is a fantastic bass. I have just today had the pots replaced with top quality Dimarzio ones and a push/push pot added (tone pot) to switch between series and parallel wiring like the S1 switch on current US Fenders. This was carried out by top local luthier Tom Waghorn. This is a Crafted in Japan 1975 reissue made in 2002 with 3 bolt neckplate, US pickups and stunning maple fingerboard with blocks and binding. Plays beautifully and sounds fantastic, I'm just not used to new/modern basses and prefer my instruments with a bit of wear. Something more suitable and battered has come up locally and so this is up for sale as long as it remains available. Should mention that the scratchplate is not currently screwed on in the pictures as I was awaiting delivery of a black one but the original plate and screws will be reinstalled before sale. SOLD Can be packed inside a cheap gigbag and case suitable for postage. Not interested in trades unless they are old Jazzes.

Thinking of upgrading the pickups on my 75RI Jazz but am unsure of which Wizards to go for. Torn between 84's and Hammers. Really intrigued by the Hammers but can't find any info about them on the web. Think they're are a fairly new addition to the line so wondering if anyone has any info/opinions on them? I'm after a pretty heavy sound, big bass and pokey treble. Mostly play fingerstyle and use a fair bit of distortion and fuzz. Would really love some sound clips if possible but fear this is unlikely.
Are you getting any use out of the Tap Trem? I don't see it on the board.
Yea, I gigged it the other week actually with Damo Suzuki (Can). Don't use it for my main band though. I had it off the board right at the end of both chains so could do autopanning between the two rigs. Sounded awesome!
Do you live in a bass shop?
Most of this stuff is stored at the practice space but me and Mr Foxen (who I live with) have a fair bit of stuff at home so yea it sometimes feels like it.

Looks lovely. After a similar Jazz myself at the moment and am looking very closely at a CIJ reissue, this is making me think twice. What are the Wizards like? Any samples at all? Personally I'd finish it off with some Jazz knobs but thats just me.
What is the big pedal in the centre of the board, just below the red Alesis box? With all those knobs it looks pretty juicy!!!! Bozz
Thats a Bugbrand custom Weeviliser Extreme! It's a ring mod, drive, low pass and band pass filter with expression pedal out. Don't have a roadie as such but usually tour with a few crew yea. Played the London Astoria this week and their crew are amazing. When we showed up I blinked and our stuff was on stage. After the show I went down to the van only to find my cabs floating above me being winched down from the stage door about 20 foot up.

Tried one live on vocals a few weeks ago and it sucked. It hissed really badly and sounded really poor. Just went straight into the desk in the end.
Nice Kramer! Looks in good condition. Do you have the octave strings fitted?
Not at the moment no. I play on top of the fretboard as I have weird arms that can't go palm up. It's really hard to fret the pairs as they were so I'm going to get a reverse nut so the pairs are the other way around, just haven't gotten round to it yet. Yea it's in really good nick, really happy with it, it sounds amazing. Had a 450b in pretty good condition too which I bought off Dangerboy but I sold it to my neighbour when the XL8 came up on Ebay. Gonna buy it back off him soon though.
