    Thank you for a good start. Did you bother with the deep/bright settings and what does the eq button do exactly? I have looked at the manual online but got more confused by the explanation.

    I’ve just acquired a used Toneman 600 which I understand is a mag rebadge? Any tips or tricks on getting a good tone with one of these? I am taking it to band practice tonight. Paddy.

    Just seen this topic. I popped in Guitarbitz tonight for the first time and my eyes went straight to that Mustang, what a gorgeous looking bass.Unfortunately I didn’t have time to chat or noodle. Nice stylish shop (it is Bath so should be),although relatively small they have made good use of the space. I will be back!

    Euphoric Audio Wizzy 10 and Micro amp - really small and you can buy a backpack to carry them both.

    Is there a relatively cheap way of playing my bass through my iPad mini and accessing my Spotify library allowing silent bass practice. I do have a Vox plug in but the sound seems pretty poor on this.

    Team Strings by Cristopher Bull, Olive Goodborn and Richard Ducket Belwin Course for Strings - String Builder, book one by Samuel Applebaum Both in excellent condition. Just looking to cover postage and packing costs. Just asking whoever has these moves them on free once you have finished with them. Paddy.

    Bass Tab White Pages in reasonable used condition. I only want postage and packaging costs but this is a heavyweight book of 200 songs and 1000 pages. Postage is £2.90 for 2nd class small parcel and Ithe rest will go on a postage bag. Paddy

    Leads are the same as I always use. Just tried a battery and there is no difference. The noise tends to be stronger when the NM2 is put on the floor as apposed to the arm of the sofa?!? If it is a dodgy unit and a Earth problem is there a DIY solution?

    I am relatively new to effects and have just bought a new NM2 and have a dreadful buzz/hum since plugging this in. This gets louder when touching the foot switches and reduces when touching bass strings. There was no problem before introducing this - any ideas of how to reduce or eliminate the hum? I don't think there is anything wrong with leads or power source. Bass is a Fender Flea > NM2 > TC Electronic BH550 > Barefaced Little Midget. Paddy.

    There's some good tutorials on YouTube. Once you have got your head around the basic technique then play along to some early Rockabilly tracks. Have fun.
