1. The flatwound- strung bass uke I am currently selling did the job for me. Small, felt like a bass under your fingers and can be heard acoustically.
 2. If they are that good they will value a 'steady Eddie' who won't compete but complement. You will be fine.
 3. I know it's Epiphone, but Jack Casady did create more or less his own bass...
 4. I once made Tracey Island from three bog rolls and some sticky back plastic...
 5. Best news this year!
 6. As I've only had it a few months, I don't know... Plenty of life in the set that's on, though. Did I mention there's a Gigbag?
 7. Steel string uke bass as advertised on this site? (cough)...
 8. Lovely little things!
 9. Bought a bass painlessly. Got some free strings as part of the deal. What's not to like!?
 10. SOLD! Solid spruce-fronted Uke Bass with flatwound metal rather than rubber strings. Bought by me for use as a practice bass while on a fortnight's holiday. Since then it's been gathering dust on its handsome surface, as these sunlit pics show! Ideal for those who don't like the usual thick rubber strings, as it is in effect a travel bass guitar. Yet can be eq'd to sound very double bassy if required. 2 band EQ on top of body (battery powered). Solid maple back and sides. Far more solid and substantial than my Countryman, but can't justify having two Uke Basses. This has one scar on the top (visible in photo, invisible when playing) and a small amount of wear under the strings from plucking by the first owner. Also a spot of rust on the D string that doesn't affect playing, as it's above the nut. Retails at £240. Asking £[s]125 [/s]110. Based Bournemouth, would consider posting at cost. Specs follow:

Ox bone saddle and nut. 2 way Truss rod
With pick-up and EQ
Tuned E A D G
Nut width: 44mm
Width at 12th fret: 56mm
Scale length: 515mm
Body depth: 80mm
Lower bout: 263mm
Upper bout: 195mm
Waist: 166mm
No Frets: 18
Body length: 355mm
Overall Instrument lengh: 750mm
Weight: 1.70 kg (approx)
With Pickup
Made in: China
Model Number: AU-90B

 11. I once sold an original for £150 😩
 12. Bump for pricedrop to £545.
 13. Where are you based?
 14. Vote MarkBass - you know it makes sense!
 15. I was very impressed by their dedicated bass room. No pressure, just the occasional look in by staff. Full range of Fender/MM/Reverend and more.
 16. You're a sad man, Jack...
 17. Jools has little to do with what acts appear, I believe. Why would he rock the boat when he has enjoyed a long tv career?
