1. I have a T-Bone Walker triple album, the Best of 1940-57 (pre-release 3CDs in a plastic wallet) or John Mayall Howlin At The Moon (live album featuring Mick Taylor on guitar). Let me know if interested in either. Mick
2.
Fancy joining with me or are you playing
Yeah, should be all right for that Nigel.
3.
Sounds perfect for me. I shall drop him a line. Where in NE Hampshire are you? I'm in Alton.
That's exactly where he is!
4. He was prior to all that a Vibrator! Replaced Pat Collier, who produced my first band (and others). Ah, the memories...and yes the track's not bad either!
5. Dear S Crotum I concur with Silddx!
6. Posting this as a favour to a good guitar-playing mate! I'm helping out until the right bloke comes along. Wanted bassist to complete newly forming band to play gigs in Alton, Basingstoke, Farnham, Guilford and surrounding areas. The aim is to form a versatile group capable playing a wide range of modern and classic popular songs to entertain pub, club and function audiences. The existing members are a bunch of mature musicians with years of gigging experience and we are looking for a like minded, reliable and committed individual to join us and to have some fun along the way! If this sounds like you the please contact me to arrange a chat. Clive [email protected]
7. I did a feature on GG's guitar collection for Guitar & Bass mag in 2009 and it wasn't one he chose to exhibit. In fact he said he much preferred Jazz Basses.
8.
I'm interested to know what it is you don't like about it? As I've never lived there i guess there's something i'm not seeing..
The answer is quite clearly Craig Bellamy!
9. I used to work on the History of Rock! 1981 to 1984 so you are nearly right. Who these days would publish a partwork that took three years to complete? We had Charles Shaar Murray and all queueing up to write for it!
10. Hey Felix! Apart from you having the name of a musical hero of mine, I too play a Seventies sunburst Pre (71)... Whereabouts do you operate and does your band have a website? Regards Mick
11. Not my cup o' tea but she and her band were/are good at what they do and there's musicianship involved. Which will do for me. If you aren't interested, scroll on...
12. I got a bog standard Samson bug. Does the job, Precision sounds fine. http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...5&brandID=1
13.
I sold my Japanese 51 reissue because I found the lack of forearm chamfer uncomfortable.
I had one of those too Nigel, and found a similar problem. Mind you my waistline is bigger than yours! Enjoying the Squier CV 50s P, which fits in all the right places. But rehearsal tonite called off due to snow - damn it!
14. I'm worried (hijacking the thread slightly) – I'm 55 and yesterday got a metallic blue 50s CV Precision from Bumnote...who may be even more 'mature' than me. What are the rules?
15. I bought the bass the pickup was once in (I think!). Again, a top man and someone who knows his basses. A pleasure to meet.
16. Thanks for your hospitality mate - look forward to seeing you in action next year. Oh, I 'fessed up to the missus who seemed not too bothered. Then she said 'I'd have noticed anyway if you'd not told me - you've never owned a blue bass'. Rumbled!
17. I've got a 1215 and it's fantastic!
18.
Just sold a bass trainer to Andy. A nice easy transaction. Recommended.
And I just bought it from him - no problems at all, if only all life were this easy!
19. Drummer Pugwash (John Weathers) is a mate. Needs a zimmer to get around now due to degenerated spine but still cheerful.
