1. The perfect seller, what can I say? Gear was like new. deal with confidence.
2. I wrote a book on him once. I had told the publisher I fancied writing about Cat Stevens... it didn't sell! 😢
3. Would love the Who Jack Bruce and Santana please. Mick
4. Fabulous!
5. Fame studios is in the middle of a shopping plaza - seems quite surreal. And Muscle Shoals Sound Studios is in a trading estate - dunno what I expected to see, but...
6. Thanks Mike for funking up my Friday!
7. This is the most enjoyable track I have ever played live... the feeling of exhilaration once you nail it is worth the effort.
8. My EB-3L with flats sounds and plays in the Fraser ballpark - though of course from your original post Boz Burrell played an Ampeg (in the beginning) and JPJ a Jazz (ditto). That said, saw someone playing a Telecaster bass with mud bucker last week that sounded very Gibson-y.
9. We used to use kazoos instead of the horn section - it didn't work ;(
10. Seem to recall rating the original bass player - Mark Lickley (?)
11. He's got a bit of trouble and strife in his vineyard... http://www.sunderlandecho.com/whats-on/music/sting-saddened-and-distressed-by-reports-of-illegal-immigrants-working-on-his-luxury-estate-1-8183170

13. PM'd.
14. I played Sultans of Swing 486 times with my last band - each time the set opener. Settled us down if nothing else, and everyone knows it.
15. 'Johnnie Wilder's Chicago Heatwave' were playing a college dance, mid Seventies. I had no idea who they were but, like Chic, they changed my view of 'disco-dance music' from something for the great unwashed to a musical phenomenon to be appreciated. RIP Rod.
16.
I have a friend who lives in Toronto and his Dad views the winter as a opportunity to do Canadian stuff outside even getting snowed in is seen as a bonus, My friend (His son ) and a lot of the young views it as a PITA.
My late first wife was in your friend's camp - she married me to get away from it! My sister in law says there are two seasons in Canada - winter and construction... T-H, is there a link to your news item?
17. Went past it a few months ago. Morin Heights is the proverbial middle of nowhere - I can understand why some bands (e.g. Asia) went stir crazy and fell out with each other, especially when snowed in!
18. De doo doo DOO! (Well I would if I had the money…) GLWTS
19. Mine has finally arrived - yay!
20. Thanks for that. The only gig I have ever camped overnight for tickets for (Brighton, 1981). That'll make it into my autobiog, even if not his.
21. "Frets have almost no wear, because probably only 3 notes were ever played on a regular basis." Love it!
