  1. It’s not the most characterful of my collection but it’s reliable, consistent, offers many different tonal options and looks good. Did I mention the lovely neck?
  2. It did the job very well. This is usually my bedroom practice rig, but I left the Elf at home for once. Tape of the performance suggests this is the sound I am going to stick with. That said, we are Vox/harmonica/gtr/bs/ds, so not the loudest band in the world. But I had a fair bit of headroom and was getting full wattage into a 4ohm cab.
  3. Think I felt like Sibob that the sound was a little undistinguished . Preferred my Fender Jazz, so it went. But to be fair I never took it out of the house, scared to damage it! Lovely looker.
  4. Florent bought a book/CD from me in a flawless transaction. Recommended Basschatter!
  5. Sandberg VS-4 through GK MB200 and BarefacedTwo10.
  6. Silly as it may seem, I found it hard to anchor my thumb - pickups v widely spaced!
  7. A real Dog’s dinner, Jack… 🐶
  8. Sold Neil a book - textbook Basschatter!
  9. I acquired one a few years ago. It proved difficult to sell on this forum when I decided to move it on, but found an appreciative buyer eventually.
  10. It’s always been about the root notes…
  11. We got an extra band member with this one!
  12. Friday night Otis Jay Blues Band show at the Meeting House, Ringwood. Well-named, we had three ‘ringers’ as vocalist and drummer walked before Christmas. An art exhibition means the band photos are the weirdest ever… have attached a couple! Pulled 37 paying punters on a horrible night plus Sid, who walked in and ordered a bottle of red to go with the half bottle of vodka in his pocket. Our audience is nothing but select. Never before used (on stage) rig of Barefaced Two10, GK MB200 and Sandberg VM4 on Precision pickup. No-one noticed the difference…
  13. I used a different setup to what I have ever used before last night. Not a peep!
  14. If you edit to put sold in header it locks the thread
  15. Boring, I know, but another but another textbook transaction! 🙏
  16. Engrossing and essential hardback biography of the enigmatic guitarist John Martyn. Small Hours by Graeme Thomson is far the superior of the two I have read, all the more as he interviewed JM before his passing and has enjoyed the cooperation of his family, children and former partners. 263 fascinating pages! RRP £ 20, yours for £14 posted UK. Price dropped to £13. Now £12
  17. I didn’t think it had one! Mine didn’t…
  18. Tom bought a book from me - painless transaction, many thanks mate!
  19. Pop sold in the headline as an edit Matt and prevent people like me weeping😁
  20. Make sure you put the right makeup on! 💋
  21. You don’t say what your musical style is…and thats important. If it can’t be done on a decent Jazz (and yours is) then I don’t think its worth doing - in my musical world anyway. Maybe you feel you want a more exotic visual image?
  22. Last year JW updated his already legendary autobiography Memoirs Of A Geezer. It’s now called Dark Luminosity and Runs to 420 rather well written pages. This copy in very good condition is yours for £10 posted. Just don’t plan to do anything for the next few days - you won’t be putting it down!
  23. Yet another CD (not seedy!) transaction that went perfectly! Bravo Rob.
  24. Sold Paul a book in an effortless transaction. One of the good guys!
  25. A perfect transaction with this fella!👏👍🙏
