  1. If you recall Swords of 1000 Men you'll want to read this rollicking autobiography that never lets up. A punk actor’s tale told with humour. Hardback, immaculate condition, yours for £12 posted (RRP £25). Now £10…
  2. Just published autobiography of Gang of Four mainman. Essential reading for all agit-rock fans and a cautionary tale given all their trials and tribulations. Lifts the lid in absolutely everything. Hardback, new condition - yours for £12 posted UK, less than half RRP (£25).
  3. I take your point. Its just that as someone who has to be in a band it seems open mics, soloists with backing tracks etc seem to proliferate these days and bands are on the way out… Not the argument here, I know.
  4. The explosion of open mic nights has certainly helped venues to mount cheap entertainment at the expense of bands.
  5. And a very fine sound you make!👏 Have a great Scandinavian tour.
  6. Is this your TBS machine, Michael?
  7. Yet again a painless process. Thanks pal👍
  8. Idiosyncratic hardback from the Dan man. Part youthful autobiography, part tour diary, wholly engrossing. Essential reading for those of a Steely disposition. Very good condition, £9 posted UK.
  9. A comprehensive biography of Alex Harvey, a once in a lifetime character. Written with the help of family and bandmates, it’s highly detailed and highly sought after. Out of print and impossible to get hold of under £20 - eBay prices are crazy - it’s in great condition and yours for £10 posted UK.
  10. Still sealed, US only released tribute to the Wicked Pickett. Features Steve Cropper, Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie), Simon Kirke, Corey Glover and many others. Recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and only just released. Heres an interesting interview https://www.goldminemag.com/columns/producer-scott-ward-pays-tribute-to-wilson-pickett-on-guest-filled-compilation £10 posted UK. Now £8 now £6
  11. Singles and B-sides from 1977-81 produced by Blackbeard, as listed in the photo. Includes Silly Games and Walk Away, two classics of the genre, plus much more on two music-packed discs. New release, still sealed. £16 posted UK. Now £14. Now £12
  12. I think @Normski is the man to consult about this!
  13. Exactly. My wife hosts a twice monthly Irish session in our local for no monetary reward and gets treated with zero respect by the venue.
  14. Beedster has done classic album-themed shows i reckon would sell tickets. We do blues. Sometimes we earn more money than a pub, sometimes less.
  15. Not saying I am elite but the only gigs we have this year are ticketed. I prefer this to an indifferent audience- they are more invested in every way if they pay, even just a fiver.
  16. I Can’t Tell You Why, Best Of My Love and The Last Resort… all in your set and not theirs. They preferred an interminable Rocky Mountain Way and Dirty Laundry. I’ll come see you next time, Michael.
  17. Be interested to see your set list. I was a wee bit disappointed with the Illegal Eagles yesterday, though to their credit they did a Desperado section. Looks a good crowd!
  18. The Illegal Eagles in Ringwood. Stunningly professional, but it was hard to get engaged. I can see why the tickets were £40 each, but I think I’d have been as happy down at the local with a band with a personality.
  19. Perfect except for the clip on tuner 🤔
  20. That’s an excellent price!
  21. Good thinking. I’d considered Ropy Music…👍
  22. And a suggestion of my own. Earl Slick’s Guitar is 99p on Amazon Kindle today (Tues 25th) if Bowie is your thing.
  23. Great isn’t it Jack? Chris Charlesworth later commissioned me to write a number of books, so I knew him well. Never lost the common touch, or the ability to laugh at the business and himself. Probably the bloke I aspired to be!
