2. Bought a SM58 from him - smooth transaction, very good comms, recommended!
3.
What kind of help ?
Compiling a double CD!
4. The band, silly! Any fans on here? I need a bit of help...
5.
Pub gigs for 3 sets..??? What is the money for those?
£200 I fear - standard for any length set...
6. Pub I've played in Maidenhead expects 10pm-1am with two breaks (3 sets). You tend to get different audiences for each set, as people move up and down the high street, get thrown out of closing pubs, etc. Obviously the last set is when the alcohol starts to really take a hold…so we save the rockier/best numbers till then. Last time we played there, we packed up at 12.30 unexpectedly. Our lead singer's daughter had been taken to hospital, and he'd found out at 9, so we played through a break and finished early. Trouble was, no-one bothered to tell me! But kudos to him for sticking with it (she was okay).
7. Yet they have him touring Europe promoting a new album - why? These guys are so often a meal ticket for many other people and (cf Amy Winehouse) the needs of the individual are too often forgotten. M
8. Matt - it means I send you a personal message. Which I have just done to you! M
9. The bad news is it was written by JK Rowling...
10. Where are you based Ash? M
11. Sorry - missed this! It weighs (bathroom scales) no more than nine pounds.
12. Tis a good piece, and well deserved. I had an Ibanez Explorer like that once PS: Is it true Lars Mullen is a pseudonym too?
13. My son's getting married in a couple of weeks (21st June) and wanted me to bring my PA system for speeches, etc. Unfortunately, transport problems mean I can't do this. So I'm after either a small PA (amp, speakers - I can bring microphones if needed) for the evening or recommendations as to where I can hire one locally for not too much dosh. If you have one and would rather I paid you a couple of bob, then I could have it picked up on the Friday and dropped back. I would naturally be wholly responsible for its safety. Cheers Mick
