1. get a used mia guild pilot from the states. needs a bit time to find one but worth searching for.
2. tiny but loud enough and sounding fantastic for 95% of all of my gigs even without PA.
3. sorry, no bass, just a high end cable that I had won in january...
4. definately one of the best bassamps ever produced - if your back is well.
5. 1 band and 3 originals studioprojects of which 1 starts with rehearsals for performances soon.
6. I find them just ok, but not super, esp. the vocals. the rhythm section was mentioned already. should be ok, if they are nice guys and if you don't expect anything more than a few free pints at the gigs.
7. what a terrible story. thanks that I don't have to play weddings, too.
8. wrong spacing, wrong scale, but cool bass. glwts!
9. somehow this question seems to be similar to asking what is better, p- or j-bass. out with hat and coat.
10.
Good evening fellows ! Thanks for NOT forgetting the rules of this topic - Year - brand - color - other options, details ... Thanks for editing your post
done
11.
I got a letter from Germany this morning....Glockenklang have sent me the nuts and washers completely free of charge...now thats good service. Although I can't actually fit this yet, as the bass isn't built yet but I thought this would take longer to get sorted.
what I said.
12. why don't you just send a mail to glockenklang? their support is said to be outstanding.
13. not a band, only a unrehearsed jamsession, but it's all I can show for now:
14. I had to do the opener for our weekly jamsession on thursday night, so I asked 2 great musicians to join in and didn't know if they'd attend until the beginning of the "show" - but they did. here are 3 tunes of what happened completely unrehearsed - so far from from perfect. but enjoy anyway! 16.
Imho I consider this music as 'neo-funk'. Check both albums by this band!!
nice but isn't this al lot headhunters alike?
17.
i wont waffle on, but to say, this is the sh*t. ..
nothing neo to me...
18.
I think the consensus will be that a dedicated stomp box compressor will be better than most integrated compressors found within a multi-effects unit, HOWEVER if you like what you hear and the B3 in-built compressor you're using adds rather than detracts from the sound of your bass then I say just carry on using it...
+1
19. and don't forget to pull the power connection before fiddling with the pot.
20.
Here is a nice power amp: the QSC PLX series. I got the PLX 3402 myself, a really powerful and lightweight amp capable to manage 2 ohms load on each side and 4 ohms bridged at massive 3400 Watts RMS. The weight is 9 kg and the effect is overkill. I got it at a very good price, that's why I have such a big amp, it has lots of features like switchable lowpass filter at 30Hz, 50Hz and straight. I always set the filter to 30 Hz just to save the speakers I use. There is no real audible difference with lows cut, but a significant difference in cone movement on the speakers. I never run it hot, just two or maybe three clicks on the volume. If you have a preamp with a single output you'll need a split Y-cable so you can send to both inputs on the power amp. I use it for stereo rig konfiguration.
well, absolute overkill - but I like it
21. guild pilot 4-string basses usually are around 3.6 kg edit: my fretless and fretted pilots weigh each 3.55 kg including the leather strap.
