Why would you need to unscrew and re-screw the bridge? You don't need to take it off to change the strings, if that's what you're thinking. Given that you are thinking about a 5-string, the extra rigidity that you get with the 6-bolt neck should manifest itself in a much better sounding B string . This is obviously not so much of an issue for 4-string players. But since I haven't tried either, I couldn't say for sure. I have played a 434 and the neck was superb.

Some metronome apps have the ability to listen to a piece of music, or a heartbeat , or similar and work out how many beats per minute. I don't use one, but try a search on Beats Per Minute or similar and see what comes up for your mobile phone of choice.

If it's bang for buck you're after, a used 19" studio rack compressor will probably give better value than a pedal. I got mine for about £35 quid, it has decent metering and does attack, release, threshold, ratio and make-up gain, and as a bonus it's 2-channel so you can use the other channel as a limiter.

Headrush is fine but there's no point whatsoever in panning to one side or other. Stereo for live sound is complete waste of time with a pub band PA. Middle everything.

Cool. I think an Epi T-Bird would be a good candidate for a retro-fit. It would sort out the neck dive, if nothing else.

I wasn't sure. What are your DIY skills like? Hipshot have the bridge and anchor sets, if you could find a suitable bass to fit them to. Bass Collection would be cheap, but would require a bit of work to fit the bridge and refinish.

Max at SFX recommends you put it first in the input chain. If the effect loop is parallel, don't put it in there, it will only be filtering half the signal.

I would be wary of applying too much force. The pots are probably soldered straigh onto the main PCB, if so it would be easy to break the connection by applying too much force to the knob.

It's doing what it's supposed to do. When the memory list is open (ie you've pressed down the middle button) it will scroll through the list. If the memory list is closed (press the middle button again) it will turn on and off the effect shown on the display (as it says on page 4 of the manual). When you load a patch from the memory, the effect that appears in the display will be the effect that was in the display when you saved the patch. If you want two effects, one to stay on all the time and the other to be toggled with the footswitch, you need to save it with the effect you want to toggle visible in the display. You can only stomp one effect although you can have up to 4 in the patch. If you want to toggle more than one effect, there is no 'loop' so you need to save two patch memories, one with the effects on and another with the effects off, and then use the memory list to switch between them. The B3 / B3N does this kind of thing better than the MS-60B . Not sure what firmware you have, but there is no thumpinator option in the one I have.

I seem to recall 27Hz from somewhere for the Microthumpinator , but can't remember the source. The one in the Zoom is 12dB/octave so it is more akin to a bass control than a genuine HPF.

+1 to that. I borrowed a pair of ancient Wharfedale 15" PA cabs from @dave.c and they gave our Peavey Subs + Tops rig a really good run for its money.
