  1. Good luck, hope you get the gig. I'm involved in a new band project and last night we played a few Free numbers. Decided not to go for the obvious ones. One we tried was Travellin' in Style. It sounded brilliant, so simple, but so enjoyable.
  2. Good to hear you are happy, long may it continue
  3. [attachment=40044:040.jpg][attachment=40046:037.jpg] I might have posted this up before, sorry it that's the case. Gary
  4. I know it's frustrating. But nature didn't just single you out. It sucks, but there are worse things happening to an awful lot of people. Chin up. Hopefully it will be worth the wait and with all the anticipation you will enjoy it even more.
  5. Nice. Almost tempted away from my fender search. Woofly Tone
  6. Sorry to hear you've got to sell Paul, best of luck. Gary
  7. looking good wayne. You didn't give me the low down on the decal installation, no prob if its one of your trade secrets Love the look of the ash trays. Really looks the part.
  8. brightened up mine as well, thanks.
  9. They are cracking units. Sold mine about a year ago and still miss it. Though not missing the lifting of it. Think they are 300 watts when using an extension cab. I think I got around 300 quid for mine.
  10. This will probably seem like a strange thing to say, but a new set of strings can work wonders (if yours are in need of changing of course). The bass just seems to come alive again with a fresh set, it just seems to inspire me and everything in my bass world seems fine again.

  13. I've done a couple of dozen gigs with mine and its been excellent. Although I have fitted wizard pick ups and a badass, the first few gigs were played with it in its original condition with the standard hardware and it all worked fine. The upgrades were money well spent and it's now a first class gigging instrument. They are a cracking bass, but I did have try a few before i found the one.
  14. Hi James. I think Gig Gear in Harlow and Hertford do amp servicing. Machinehead in Hitchin as well, I think. Not had to use either of them yet though so can't make any recomendations. Cheers, Gary
  15. Nice one Dave. Pleased for you. All the best, Gary
  16. It's exactly why I've stopped attending music shows and bass gatherings. Even players who would never normally slap, seem to get possessed by the slap devil when in a room containing more than one other bassist.
  17. nor sure it matters much when you are up against five guitards, keyboards and a loud drummer as I was at a rehearsal on tuesday night.

    Chorus Pedal

Thanks for the advice. A tip from my old english teacher: necessary one coffee, two sugars!

    Chorus Pedal

.....but have decided I could do with a little chorus on a few numbers. I'm after recommendations on budget to mid price options. Thanks in advance
  20. Sounding good. Doesn't sound like a first rehearsal. Very nice.
  21. Thanks Neil and Jake. Jake, I will have to read that a few times for it to sink in, but exactly the sort of help needed. Yes had a look at the proverb thread All the best, Gary
  22. Thanks chaps. Still hope someone will come along and explain though, Where's Out to Play Jazz or Bilbo when you need them?
