  1. I'm out, but at least I made it far past January this year! I swapped my Jet P bass for a CV Mustang bass. I'm happy and at least I didn't spend any money! Loving my new tubby little funk stick 👌
  2. Loving this album 😙👌
  3. More 32" medium scale bass options would be nice.
  4. I'd like Fender Ps and Js to come with roasted bodies and necks. My inexpensive Jet P, which has both, resonates very similarly acoustically as the old '65 P I used to have, thanks to the zero moisture content I believe. It would be nice to be able to buy a new one finished in nitro that responds like a super dried out solid old one.
  5. Thanks for that Tony, solid gold vid. I've never been down the Flabba rabbit hole. A new seam to mine. Cheers for the signpost 👊 King Tubby has been my Saturday...
  6. My Favourite Dress - The Wedding Present
  7. It's also for sale here in the classifieds. Same one.
  8. I had one. My mates named it "The Bap" in "old biddy beige".
  9. Back in the room! Thanks Ped, much appreciated 🙂👍
  10. Take The Skinheads Bowling - Campervan Beethoven
  11. No Sugar - Mr. Tea and The Minions
  12. Golden Retriever - SFA (OK)
  13. Yep, although I only have one bass now. It's still surprising to me how happy I am with it.
  14. Might as well considering how much the Mexican ones cost now!
  15. Congrats! Nice and light too. You can usually tell a good one from how much it's been played. A little tip - Quarterpounders sound great with T.I. flats. The TIs are middy and fill out the scoop of the QPs, and the QPs give the TIs the lowdown booty that they can be a bit shy on. Great combo in a live mix. Just a thought anyway...
  16. Good call keeping your Jazz 👍 If you want a bit more from it, consider installing a series/parallel pull pot where the neck pickup volume pot is. A Jazz is already wired in parallel (both pickups working independently), click the volume knob up and it will put your pickups in series (both pickups working as one big one, like a Precision Bass). The bridge volume knob won't do anything in series so you'll have one volume, one tone - like a P bass. A Jazz in series mode is a fabulous sound. Knarley and fat like a P but with added detail. Cheap mod. Plenty of how-to's online...
  17. Proper Eric Morecambe moment there! 🤣
  18. I do but I've only just bought it myself. Bought a used copy cheap. My teacher gave it the thumbs up as it uses the Rabbath method rather than Simandl approach which is good but very dry for a beginner (his words). Easier to read from the off too.
  19. Nick Oliveri (KYUSS/QOTSA) used/uses GHS Bass Boomers .115 and .095 for his C and F strings mixed with Ernie Ball Power Slinkys .075 and .055 for his Bb and Eb strings.
  20. Shark Ridden Waters - Gruff Rhys
  21. Rest in peace me hearty.
  22. Down In The Ground Where The Dead Men Go - The Pogues
