  1. That sounds lush! What's the track? Could listen to more of that...
  2. The pumpernickel is a really good pedal, but a pretty fiddly build. Definitely not for beginners! Especially if you can't get a pre-drilled enclosure...
  3. As pointy headstock types go, that's bloody GORGEOUS!
  4. Looks like a fixed cab sim on this so could very well be all analogue.
  5. You're not alone - exactly the same story here!

Have you tried the sushi box forum on PedalPCB.com? https://forum.pedalpcb.com/forums/sushiboxfx/
  7. Exactly what I expected with the Wizard fuzz in there! I'll have to get a listen later - mobile phone speaker would do it no justice!
  8. Always curious when I see a board like this. What kind of music do you play with this?
  9. I'd go Origin Bassrig '64 given your tonal requirements... I'm confused about your worry about a dark DI and wanting to sound like Pino does with D' Angelo though. Surely a 60's P with very well used flats doesn't have much high end going on anyway!
  10. Yeah... that did it for me. Great sounding little bass that....
  11. @BassAgent @asingardenof Has anybody on the FB group asked if they plan to do a Metro Express M24-5? Enquiring minds...
  12. I built a clone of the ThorpyFX Fat General (PedalPCB General Tso). It's the best compressor I've ever used. Replaced the Cali76 Compact Bass on my board. Worth a look.
  13. Can anyone suggest somewhere I could pick up a P-bass pickguard, but with a reverse P pickup route?
  14. Same reason I'm keeping the Darkglass Element on my board! I could use a small Behringer mixer I have I suppose, but the Element is less hassle.
  15. Following as I've just had one arrive today too (think I just missed the one you have!). My plan is last in line... technically last but one with my Darkglass Element as a cab sim and headphone amp after, but using the DI from the Super Vintage. Tuner, compressor and a drive (or 2) up front.
  16. Is it just me or are we all missing the point... It's a vehicle for a copy of the T40 electronics package with a visual nod to the original. Nothing more. Could probably be made to look any way you like...
  17. Such a simple idea... I'd have put an adjustable HPF and LPF on the dirty channel, but other than that that's a pretty sweet arrangement.
  18. I do like that you have more control over the driven frequencies on this than on the Hyperdrive. Does away with one of those awkward switches from the first version, the function of the second switch taken care of by more range on the drive control I would assume. You know, having spent a lot of time looking at the circuit for the Hyperdrive and considering how I'd rework it, I'd have made very similar changes myself, although I would have gone for the HPF/LPF arrangement to do away with the need for a dual-ganged pot - not saying that was why Ashdown did it, but maybe... I'd have made it to fit in a vertical orientation Hammond 1590BB at the absolute maximum though, there's really no excuse for the poor form factor...
  19. Ridiculous size, ridiculous price, ridiculous VU meter... All the same issues as the Hyperdrive really... Pass...
