  1. The new AMpeg Venture series would probably fit the bill here. B15 and SVT modes would cover all the thump and warmth territory I would imagine...
  2. Mint and boxed Darkglass AO900 for sale. Great bit of kit but I'm not gigging so can't have this kind of money sitting around doing nothing! Bought when it looked like things were happening with my last band but COVID killed that off without a trace... Have 3 lead-sled amps in the garage should another gig present itself! Only used a handful of times from new, supplied footswitch never touched by me until taking pics! £620 posted in the UK
  3. Mint and boxed Zvex Basstortion for sale. Interesting pedal this. Zvex call it their take on an SVT. While I'm not sure about that, it's certainly a nice way to add dynamic grit to your sound, although to me it REALLY excels as a tone sweetener/presence boost. It's based around the SHO, in turn based on 60s recording console technology. Brilliant sounding pedal, but not getting used as I'm not gigging and play directly into my interface at home. £100 posted in the UK
  4. Darkglass Vintage Ultra v2 for sale. Boxed in excellent condition bar a slight mark above right-hand footswitch. This is the version with headphone out and aux-in ports, cab sims can be loaded via supplied USB cable. Great sounding pedal but not getting used as I'm not gigging and play direct to my interface at home. £200 posted in the UK ***ON HOLD UNTIL THURSDAY***
  5. Mint and boxed Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon for sale. Brilliant bit of kit, but it's just not getting much use as I'm not gigging and play straight into my interface at home. Check out reviews on YouTube for more info as this pedal does more than I could explain here, but compression, drive/distortion, cab sim, bluetooth streaming and control, headphone output, USB audio interface in one. £320 posted in the UK.
  6. I've been watching the Arkham stuff with interest for a few years and this looks great. Current requirement is a little higher than I would expect but still nice size and feature set.

EHX Nano Q-tron would be my first call nowadays I think
  8. There's no way that's an 80s bass...
  9. There was a project on one of the German bass forums showing the whole build process. If you look around the internet you'll see pictures of the insides of an Eich board. It's not just possible, it's uncomplicated! Bodyshaker Speaker https://amzn.eu/d/6GJhcvH
  10. Waiting for the 5 string model that will inevitably appear!
  11. If it weren't for the inlay I'd be very interested in one of those...
  12. Look at Jon Willis/Dr. Tone presets... I'll leave it at that... IAM's presets came in for SERIOUS slagging for being horribly priced simple settings.
  13. The plum crazy they've just released in the NS Dimension HP... 🤑
  14. Someone with no staying power/limited diy skills/money to literally burn (delete as applicable) going for the raw mahogany Serek look I would think...
  15. Totally baffled... Just had a Scottish VW dealer refuse to sell me a used car because it's going to be registered in Northern Ireland... Answers on a postcard please!

Only thing I could think of... But since it's a car for my own use it makes no difference. Reeks of anti-competition to me though...

  16. If you're happy with everything else I'd be minded to have guitarguitar repair the thing. Probably just a single solder joint job. Worst case the preamp needs replacing. Worse things happen at sea!
  17. My father-in-law was just talking the other day about the piano smashing competition his students union held during rag week. They destroyed 13 pianos on the steps of Leeds town hall - rules were that you had to be able to pass the pieces through a 9 inch square hole... Team of 4, 1 sledge hammer per team. They were donated the pianos for free by a local piano shop who couldn't get rid of second hand ones. My father-in-law turned 80 last month so maybe this isn't as new a problem as you'd think! Anyway, just last week we donated an upright piano to a local charity shop who arranged for a local piano tuner to come pick it up. Might be worth consideration. You shouldn't have to be paying to get rid of anything in this day and age.

    DIY Effects

Information on the subject has been so convoluted that I didn't even know that! 😄

No issues with Musikding. Think almost all my orders have been post Brexit!
  20. Been following on Instagram for a while. They look like a Blast Cult and a Dunable had a baby... Unfortunately he seems to do any demos through a guitar amp. I'd like to REALLY hear what one sounds like. Some look very interesting, but some look hideous...
