Status tapewounds - round wound sound and smooth feel.

Although it's not likely, it can happen that a driver blows and goes open circuit. If this happens, the results will be different according to how the cab is wired. If two drivers are in series, connected in parallel to two other drivers in series, you finish up with a 16 ohm 2 speaker cab. If two drivers are in parallel, connected in series to another two drivers in parallel, you finish up with a 12 ohm 3 speaker cab. At first glance, the second option may seem better. However, the single speaker will have to handle four times the power that each of the drivers in the pair do, which may well result on it crying enough too, so you finish up with an infinite ohms cab.

I use white spirit - just moisten a paper towel with some, rub the affected area until the gunk is off, then use another paper towel to dry up. A bit like watching porn, but with less issues if someone walks in. Apparently.

We use a pair of Behringer B210Ds, just for vocal monitoring and sometimes a bit of guitar. Wouldn't want to put drums and bass through them.

Have you got good output from the bass, and is the volume all the way up?

I considered the Mono GS-1 but I have the strap at about 47" and want to have the potential to adjust it in either direction, which would have meant two GS-1s. I bought the Neotech Mega instead. Seems well made and comfortable. Doesn't slip either.

My Warwick JD Thumb which I bought new in 1987. Doesn't get used these days as I play 5-strings but it's always there...

Crafter are also good, I bought one for £175 which was up there with several more expensive instruments. Or get a Variax 300 solid-body and use the acoustic patches, that's what I use for gigging purposes.
