1. maybe the americans only list serial numbers imported/sold in US - mine is a korean trb1004 and is not on there either and the japanese site doesnt list anything below the trb1005
 2.
Sadly it's just another example of Google's desire to be as intrusive as possible into one's private life. I, for one, deplore it and them.
DUCKDUCKGO
 3.
The adulation.....the gratitude......I'm sick of it.
this
 4. have you reported it lost (with serial numbers) to police? something of this sort of substantial value ought to be handed in to police otherwise it is deemed to be theft by finding as any reasonable person ought to know that it is not wihtout significant value - if the original owner doesnt claim it from police within 28 days then it lawfully becomes the property of the finder (so make sure you go back to the local police station to check regularly) if it should then turn up in a crack converters or similar emporium you will still be able to go back to police and report that youve seen it and hopefully claim it back from the shop as it is still lawfully your property - the shop may well put up resistance but the police should assist with recovery
 5.
I play guitar and synth as well as bass. I don't know if playing the guitar makes me a better bass player but being able to play other instruments makes me a better overall musician and song writer.
this personally i would add that learning early on about the basics of music theory and reading dots is a great help too
 6. back in 78 ish me and my mates used to think of dr feelgood as pub rock - probably because a great number of local gigging pub bands at that time were doing the whole feelgood/9belowzero thing but at the same time i never considered be bop deluxe a pub rock band despite them possibly self-referring as a pub rock band in their early stages with the lyrics to axe victim describing one of their own gigs in a Hull pub going particularly pear shaped)
Aye he's a top quality guitarist, wish I could be there, but sadly York is about 300 miles north of me these days. Dunno if you've heard this before, but it's a great cover from another great guitarist who you'd think was very unlikely to cover a BBD song.
great cover!
 7. think i posted this before but couldnt find it so here is again - its in 4 parts and some useful stuff (for lectronic noobs like me anyways) http://youtu.be/92G-jw4TqS4
 8. hmm yes - been a brinsley schwarz and nick lowe fan since 70s and be bop for that matter - must admit thats the first time ive heard of be bop referred to as pub rock though have said it before on other threads and will say it again ... he is one of THE musical talents of this country in recent years , amazing songwriter and guitarist in fact of all the bands ive seen over the years ive not seen a guitarist who can play and sing as well as Bill Nelson - imho he ought to be up alongside the likes of SRV and EC
 9.
Love Rotos. Always used them and always will. Great tone for the money I think.
i thought the tone from the regular rotos was good if only marginally less bright and zingy than the swing bass but on my bass the tension of the rotos seemed noticeably more than the swingbass (35inch/trb) - maybe it was all down to the tension - they do seem 'less rough' now theyve been on a couple of weeks though
 10.
Elixir for me. They sound great and last the longest out of all the 'coated' strings i've used. Plus, everything else feels too rough to nowadays!
i usually buy rs66 swing bass sets but couple of weeks ago out of economic necessity i got a set of the roto's for half the price of the swingbass rough as a badgers thingy! think i'll wait and stump up the cost of the swing bass in future - buying online is fine but when you have a great music shop in town i prefer taking my custom there and supporting them so the choice is limited to ernie balls or rotosound lol

 12.
---x--- To load new types of effects or the artist-made Bass TonePrints, simply hook up your amp to a computer via the included USB cable. Or even cooler: beam them directly from your smartphone straight into BH250 using the mindblowing TonePrint App for iOS and Android. ---x--- http://www.tcelectro...-toneprints.asp
yes yes just dont forget to carry a spare iphone charger with you
 13.
I tried, really I did; but gave up after checking out the Steven Seagal hair visuals & spent too long wondering if he had in-ear monitors or piercings.
somebody throw him a bottle of timotei
 14. and Ray Cooper too !!! http://www.allmusic....es-mn0000576979 they even got a four star rating on the last album so in response to the thread title ....cool as f*** , no???
 15. Les Hurdle and Clem Cattini who knew!!! (well obviously they did i know ....)
 16.
'Fraid so
youll be telling us next that Sting did the voiceover for the meowmix commercial
 17.
The Flying V man was Chris Spedding.
nooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
 18.
Because all the YouTube clips aren't recorded in the same room, with the same mics, the same post-processing at the same sample rate and frequency and then compressed using the same bit-rate and algorithm, before being uploaded to YouTube where it is compressed once again. Doesn't matter what you listen to a YouTube clip on. The source audio is inconsistent and has been subjected to multiple unsympathetic compression.
very true - but given tc are in the business of trying to flog their amps on their sound quality you would think a little bit more effort and resource would have been invested to produce a better result other audio companys can manage it ok but it does require a bit of sound/video recording expertise and post production of the audio and video and given a bit of time with somebody who knows how the sound is going to compress to the final online video and a graphics wizz to spend a couple of hours tarting it up in adobe premiere it would be advertising budget well spent imo this video looks more like theyve give a camcorder to Mr Heep and told him to stick it on a tripod and go make a demo of the amp (if they even gave him any brief at all) - being someone with a modicum of experience within the world of media/advertising i would go so far as to suggest that this sort of shoddy presentation would more than likely harm their sales figures to all but the most stalwart of tc fans
 19.
What an amazing concept.
all that empty shelf space - tc obviously dont believe in spending their hard earned profits on decent advertising ! edit - only just noticed ... bet sandberg are pleased wit this one ..... NOT !
 20. very interesting when all compared so close together in conitnuity like this normally am a big warwick and ray tone fan but these ones didnt do it for me although the star was my personal fave of the two warwicks J by a mile for me wonder how much difference there would be through a different rig?
 21. One of this country's great overlooked talents ! most people tend to only remember Bill Nelson for Be Bop Deluxe and Red Noise but his solo catalogue since then is quite staggering http://soundcloud.com/billnelson http://www.billnelso...salon/index.php free downloads at bottom of page
 22. does this still count as experimental with everyone? does for me! (some great stick by Trey Gunn) http://youtu.be/giKVNoTDvOE
 23.
Some of you may have seen these on my recent sale thread, but here's out latest video: And the others can be found here: http://www.youtube.c...k/videos?view=1 Thanks, Josh.
nice melody - very pleasing to the ears gorgeous bass tone Josh - thats exactly the tone that made me look to go and buy a warwick...until i picked them up and tried them why do they sound so great but feel so ugly?? but thats a whole nother thread edit - 'staging area' even better - not often i get all the way to the end of the homemade stuff
