3. you'd need to open up the pdf file in acrobat pro or illustrator (thats assuming it hasnt been password protected and editing locked) and then loads of editing and rearranging so in a word unfortunately ...no! or render it up in a photo editor into a hi-res image and then cut and paste all the staves about to remove the unwanted tab ones and shift the others
 4.
My little un loves my guitars but is very careful around them. She's three now but I still love this pic.
soooooo cute ....... however ....... you're going to have to coax her out of that left hand pinkie habit or before you know it she'll start playing chris squire
 5.
anyone else here totally pissed off with musicians who play for free?
loads of people do lots of things for free - i particularly disapprove of the recent working practice culture which has forced itself on us where young graduates looking for work are expected now to be volunteering to work for free for a limited short period to demonstrate to a potential employer that they are worth taking on full time whilst i have had several jobs and have formal qualifications in things which i now find impossible to find employment in, it is a case of realising where you best talents lie - for me personally that is playing the bass and making things look pretty (aka graphic design) - a fair return for your efforts and skills is not unreasonable but very occasionally there will be exceptions where it is done as a total freebie- i have played one gig for free this year as it was a local weekender fundraiser event and i occasionally do some design work for free but only for very good friends or charity
 6.
Does anyone know what the legal situation with these is, if there is a noise complaint, the police arrive and discover that you are able to play so loud because you've bypassed the device? I'm guessing that they'll shut down the gig there and then. However do they have the power to do more like confiscate your equipment?
unless there is some sort of disturbance in progress or pending it is unlikely police will attend - the noise policing is totally down to local councils - they should have an on call EH person especially on busy nights to be able to attend - it is usually they who call for police claiming that they fear the crowd will become violent and their safety will be threatened if they do their job
 7. was sort of wondering this myself ... anybody in here any experience of approaching agents rather than bands?
 8.
I am sure you wouldn't want to get involved in all that corporate stuff that sometimes comes with an endorsement.
does it pay more than JSA ?
 9. nice - the intro sounds very brand-x - i like the bass in the break at 1:11
 10. sheeesh how on earth do you think anyone can slap with a pick???
 11.
That is nice but I'm looking at lessons rather than arrangements
i posted that one because it is the complete piece - if you look on his youtube channel you will find the tutorial for it and other stuff
 12. yes occasionally - last one i looked at was hooberts 'human nature' - better than that whitesnake geezer version imho http://youtu.be/kyMjUg1VybE
 13. sheeesh 100 can you imagine all the passive-aggressive ego flexing and posturing
 14. dont forget several of us basschatters are 'between jobs' and 'available for endorsements and sponsorship'
 15.
Somebody must want to buy my Hartke Hydrive 410 for only £350? In absolutely mint condition.
yes indeedy but still trying to amass sufficent beer tokenage for you

 17.
'When did England become a police state?' 'Around forty years ago, Steven'.
god bless america
 18.
Just as well you didn't, no one's in the mood for irony today. Thread fail. Should have got Discreet to post it they'd be rolling in the isles by now.
must be all the x-flares - the magnetic storms are playing havoc with everybodys tiny little minds just for an ironic thrill im going to set up another profile and call myself INDISCREET

 22.
Glad to hear some support for 'Tormato'! Don't know why it gets such a bad press. I even love the cover - lovely 70's piece. Granted, 'Circus Of Heaven' is a bit lame, but the rest is great. Even Wakemans's piercing synths have their place! Full marks for the band for not just repeating themselves. Got to say it (maybe we should have a poll!), my favourite is 'Relayer'....but anything from their debut to 'Drama' works for me. I think a big part of Yes' golden period was the magic of Eddie Offord. He gives the music such space to breathe - and Squire's bass in particular. Can you imagine if those albums were made today? I bet you'd barely hear the bass parts within the compressed wall of sound!
well in a recent interview mr squire explained how the bass was so muchg higher up in the mix than expected due to a dodgy pair of headphones in the studio - it all came out with the bass in your face but the effect was pleasant so they stuck with it
 23. i was brought up on close to the edge and fragile but i absolutley love drama but not the drama line up - saw them live on the drama tour - was ok but it wasnt yes it was more like the chris squire show with added backing band
 24. yes it s a bit lame i guess but it was merely to shgow him in plain clothes lol his cross dressing manga pop videos have much better bass playing imho
