it must be true because its now TWO years in a row which can only surely show their consistency and dedication and its in the indiependent not some shabby old rag like the sun ....

 4.
I was a teenager in the late '80s / early '90s so no, indie to me is what it says it is and there was a ton of good stuff that carried that tag in those days. Got to the office this morning and my co-worker is playing this new EE album. Very nice.
I totally agree the ee thing is quite listenable I just cringe (like many others too I guess) at the modern usage of indie (and RnB too for that matter)
 5. kirsty maccoll new england and pretenders dont get me wrong for our cover band , both great fun to play sometimes i will go through something and figure the bass line and other parts too just to see if its do-able or not for our covers band sometimes will go through 'standards' like sir duke or party pieces like mayor of simpleton, charming man, rhythm stick etc just so my brain and fingers have figured the patterns out in case i need to pull them out the bag at short notice

 9. Definition of rock journalism: People who can't write, doing interviews with people who can't think, in order to prepare articles for people who can't read. Jazz isn't dead. It just smells funny. All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff. I wrote a song about dental floss but did anyone's teeth get cleaner? Writing about music is like dancing about architecture. FZ

 12. postage wouldnt really be an issue surely would it? there are enough peeps on here to be able to pass it on at a gig or post gig with members being local-ish enough to be able to meet up and pass it on? id happily give it a go if it comes over anywhere around the garden of england and from scanning the boards here there must be at least a dozen members who are well within a 20 minute drive so easy to pass it around
 13.
I think at the end of the day, unless it's your full time job, we will always make the odd gaffe or 3. As long as we can cover them up well.
laughing and gurning at the cheese-wire strummer should do the trick then
