we do indeed - we run coldplay yellow into the script for the first time and then finish up with the last bars of yellow with the key change

focus c-max hatchback - loads of space in back with the seats folded ford galaxy or the vw sharan equivalent is not as big as you think but can be massive inside as it has a flat deck and the rear seats can be removed/folded leaving just the driver and passenger seat

well saturdays five hen party bookings turned into just the one - we were joined by the bride to be giving her vocal rendition of valerie which was actually very good (apparently they were all professional dancers so not your average shy and retiring bunch) - i think the other four parties must have all been blushing brides-to-be from the temperance society or something and they decided to keep to themselves and not partake of the live music entertainment laid on for them was intially sceptical about being first on at kings hill yesterday afternoon at 1pm but turns out we had the best of the sun and warmth as the rest of the afternoon was jackets on and golf umbrellas up - very good FOH sound both out the front and on the stage thanks to JTUK coming along to support
Hi Twincam. I am newly back to playing bass and even though I have huge hands the stretching between frets has been a problem but persevere ce a d a good teacher have helped that improve dramatically. It does feel very awkward to start with as you are putting your left hand into positions you wouldn't ever need to if you weren't playing something like a bass or a guitar. It will come with time. Also don't be afraid to move your whole hand up and down the fretboard.
stretching??? STRETCHING!!!! best you start MOVING your left hand or else the repetitive strain injury police will be along to give you a stern telling off oh ...

Barry Dallman blog: "... worst exploitation of musicians ..."
steve-bbb replied to BassTractor's topic in General Discussion
brightonjazzfestival.com actually redirects (without domain forwarding(?)(looks like she's taken it down because of all the kerfuffle) to >>>>> http://nicolacairncr...stival-website/ with her response to Barry Dallman although judging by the 'overall vibe' of her website i think i have a pretty good idea who is actually the genuine music lover and supporter of community music and who is just out to make a fast easy buck (just my opinion of course) edit I have taken the site down now (will take an hour or so to propogate online) and we can all reflect on the loss of yet another potential champion for a much loved art form. dont you just love this sort of passive/aggressive bollocks -
If youd actually bothered to read the article you would have discovered its the the result of a poll involving 10,000 people. I presume your accusation of laziness was intentionally ironic.
yes i did 12 lines of copy plus 1 or 2 lines for each of the 25 songs ... hardly ball breaking stuff though by anybody's standards is it -

The 25 best basslines of all time - MusicRadar
steve-bbb replied to TorVic's topic in General Discussion
is this list compiled by some lazy journo who has just gone on to spotify and itunes and looked up popular downloads of each artist and made a sort of randomly haphazard collection then probably added some copy that would make nathan barley blush and is it some sort of subtle irony that the webpage shows us james brown but bootsie collins does not feature in the list?? anyways it must be wrong because john taylor and rio isnt in there -
I can just about remember clackers .
do you still have them? wouldnt they be just great to attach a set to the headstock of the purple relay bass
-
he says he will pass it around some of his bass playing pals who knows ....might even end up with GP
-
sounds like time to introduce a few new numbers to the set list maybe??
Sorry, it's still in Falkirk, and will be for the next week or so. It would have been great if you could play it at a gig with 5 hen parties though!
indeed would have made for some hilarious photos of the purple bass getting mobbed by drunken laydeees
