And talking of bassworld; I wonder if thats what happened to Gerard.
Is there really any need to be so abrasive....? What are you hoping to achieve?
 2. DB5 getting new grubbies is a piece of pish if you want to keep it.... come back to me ai'll let ayou a know a supplier where you can get them quickly and in different lengths..... this is of course academic if you prefer the DJ5, and I cant help you with that !
 3.
Not sure why the Burpster is talking bollocks?
Please define how economics is bollocks? £122 as opposed to £55 + £2 P+P for essentialy the same thing....? "uep 88 £55.00 + £2.00 p&p Our 'Bio blocker full shell', features unique ULTIMATE in ear technology, so the plug is shaped within the confines of the ear. Additionally the UEP 88 is easy to keep clean providing years of use. We are so confident in our product it comes with a two year guarantee." Let other folks make their own minds up and stop preaching, its boring. For those that are interested and dont think I'm talikng bollox, I have a set of U.E. IEMs which I use for my bike, they are excellent for that application and would use them on stage but the bass response is weak due to the teeny speaker. when playing live I dont play at volumes that make ears ring so I dont have an issue. The IEMs that U.E produce are very comfortable when worn for very long periods (10+hrs) and mine have done lots of miles in the last 4 years and still sound fresh. I also use U.E blockers for shooting and and have an attenuated pair for big rifles. I have no business interest in U.E. but have had other brands in the past. U.E.s service and knowledge have been the best I have dealt yet. They are also by far the most comfortable ones I have had.
 4. I'm not sure this is fair on the cars..... They loose about 50% in thier first year so even if you had a REALLY nice car by the time its 3 yrs old its worth about 30% of its original cost...... Basses just dont loose value like that, and even now in the grips of a recession they are still changing hands for sensible money OR we folks are hanging on to them and they will be worth the same out the other side...... Me....? yep basses are worth more than my car but not my guns or bike. Next year my car will be worth less than a tube of hemorrhoid cream thanks to the governments tax idiology..... so good job I looked after it and like it, as it looks like I'll be keeping it for another 5yrs.
 5. D'ya think he was trying to pass the buck...... Maybe his mate set him up...... you know.... the old... "I reckon its worth about £500 you can keep ought you get above that" Then sit back and watch and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh..... I've grown out of that now but its the kinda thing I used to do in my younger days.....
 6.
ahh, they may be sh*te, but if you get 'em all wired up together into one monster outputting BEAST, you could make some really LOUD crappy tone
Maybe get your amps painted with an 11 so you crank 'em way up!

 17. Does anyone know if is possible to radius the end of an X4 pick up without damaging the structural integrity of teh epoxy moulding? I have a very specific application and I believe the coils are well short of the mounting holes, so all there is, is epoxy at the ends of the pups where the mount holes are.... Anyone any specialist knowledge or is this a call to Mr B himself...? Bob.
 18. Yep spot on that Rich.....^ Wait 6 months for a newer model to come out and these will be discounted to that £100 cheaper price tag and then they will be a good buy I reckon....

 21.
The predecessor of the Shergold Marathon was the Hayman 4040 and it had a circular hole in the headstock with a plastic insert with the Hayman logo on it. Maybe the early Shergolds had that too and this one has lost the plastic insert. I'd say £250 was a fair price for one of these but without original parts and bad nick, maybe not.
+1. If you're into Shergolds then its an OK price. Bargain? No. sadly they have appaling 2ndhand values considering who well they were put together. I dont like them but that does not mean others dont like them and that they do not have intrinsic value.
 22. Where is local? The shop in Lincoln has one on stock, it caught my eye yesterday! Its black too...! Yummie!
 23.
Ah Music Makers, bought my first bass from there. Nice shop, not a huge range of basses though.
You know the pink shop??? Wow, how cool! I agree they dont have lotsa basses, but they do have some, and I guess most of the important ones in the up £500 bracket..... (except Rockbass) And the lovely thing for me is that they dont try to tell what you want, in fact they genuinely seem to enjoy talking to someone who has more knowledge in areas that they dont. ..... Thats why I dont mind going in and spending in there.... Oh the other great thing? Often you'll go in and they be jammin' Love it.
 24.
The "Jazz 24" ( http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0264500552 ) basses are made in Korea. Apparently they're great, although having never played one, I can’t comment from personal experience.
Aaaahhhaaa it was a 5 string version of that...... Kinda purdey aint it!
 25. Yep like he said^^^^^^^ Make sure you loosen the string off or better stil remove it, oh and PLEASE use the correct size spanner/screwdriver/ allen keys as you'll be well annoyed if you make a mess....! remember they are US made so they are AF sizes not metric.
