Why not keep the current band going for now and also join the originals band you mentioned.
They should be different enough so as not to tread on each others toes.
Can't seem to upload pictures but for me it's actually one that was mentioned in the ugliest bass thread.
John Entwistles' Alembic Baby Brown is the bass I covert most. To me, proportion wise it's just perfect. I'ma short-*rse so a fan of short-scales.
Tuner - line mixer - chorus - drive - delay
most of the time i use a clean signal and occasionaly use the above in a variety of combinations. Could probably ditch the drive.
Very occasionaly use a synth pedal with an expression pedal but that's only if the keys player can't make it.

You must of been a bad boy! I had many wild nights there and never got into trouble.
Great place to pick up girls I remember being, having the odds stacked nicely

I was surprised myself. Something to do with African Woodbines.
first outing for sub machine at the grosvenor in stockwell last night. got a decent, appreciative crowd down which always helps. the sound guy was on top of things and showed us in our best light.
all in all a success, may even do it again.
I have to say I've been following this thread and am a little surprised by the hostility shown to the OP.
We all need to get things off our chest at times. I know I've done it here recently and all I got was messages of support which helped me get things in perspective.
Give the guy a break.
all the time. didn't realised I did it 'til at a rave, lost in the music a mate came up and said "nice air bass man".
i would post a vid of alan partridge playing air-bass but youtube seems to be acting up for me at the moment.
ah, there you go chaypup
Ok, tried out the ensemble king last night. have to say I was quite impressed. Seems to respond better in the mid to top range of notes but for what I was after, a simple no fuss chorus, it seems ideal.
haven't checked out the green mile yet but will post when I do.

A well known, knowledgeable, intelligent, published, qualified life long enthusiast? Perish the thought!!

Doesn't make him presenter material though.
Jamming with the lads on Friday evening suddenly things took a very Quo-like turn. I was digging it but wondered if anyone else was picking up on it. I assumed that they hadn't as I was sure certain members would have called a halt. Turned out they all picked up on the vibe (apart from the 22 year old keys player) and were equally into it.
It still works.

Any votes for Brian cox as a replacement ( not that he can be replaced but you know what I mean)

I don't think he's eccentric enough or even has a strong personality. Did someone mention Wilco Johnson earlier? Now that would be excellent!
As long as it's not Brian May!
