3. Patch thats my dream bass but I've just bought a new van so I'm pot less At the mo, can i have it for free... Only joking, is it sale only or trades also? Ta mate Paul Oops just noticed that you'll trade for an active, is that all you're interested in?
4. Not bass related but got up in the middle of the night for a widdle when i lived with my parents, pushed the bathroom door open ( it opened in to the bathroom) and it got pushed back onto me so hard i nearly went down the stairs, because of the force of it i thought its obviously my dad in there, after shouting and hollering for 5 minutes at him for nearly knocking me flying he came out of his bedroom door asking me who I'm shouting at, opened bathroom door and bathroom was empty... Ooh.. Shudder. I don't believe in all that but?? It weren't the wind.
5. No good to me cos I'm lefty but just had to say that is a thing of beauty.
6. I played Jockstock (punkfest) in East London Sat night, slightly under-rehearsed as the band are a tad widespread, Portsmouth , Penzance, Kent and Norfolk, onstage sound was so bad i could hardly tell what song we were playing but it was good fun, hurrah for original stuff.
7.
I just pulled the trigger on an HB Bass Uke. The login screen keeps telling me: Not yet processed - Order will soon be commissioned and shipped. Come on!!!! Its been two hours since I placed the order...!
. It could be weeks Johnnyboy aargh !!
8.
Good to hear there's so much bon-homie for Slade here. They're all good guys to talk to. H likes his malt whiskies, (hint: if you meet up with Jim these days you'll get a longer chat if you talk gear rather than Slade). I met up with Nod for an hour or so at a do he did in Harrogate earlier this month (he signed some prints for charidee that I had made off a drawing I did of him - his Mrs has the original ) & Don keeps in touch quite well considering he now lives in Denmark. Could anyone who's interested please like this FB page for Alan G Parker of "Hello Quo" fame wanting to gauge popularity for doing a similar job on Slade. 10.
Ah I suspect this will be the case. My ears are ringing today and that's after wearing plugs all night; my right ear actually hurts a bit. I don't think losing my hearing is worth it! Great idea about the electric kit - the next thing is to make the guitarist wear headphones and not deafen everyone with his insane volume too. I only meant the drummer has great feel and groove and sounds great when he plays quietly - it's when he "gets into it" where Concorde taking off is quieter. I have a few cats and have attempted to herd them, but to no avail; they completely ignore me. I suspect trying to change their attitudes will be just as effective. It's a pity really. Thanks! EDIT: I could get a SPL meter wired up to power outlets that trip the power off for everyone like they do in village halls??? A measurement microphone to convince them that they're as loud as a pneumatic drill at 1M would be non-arguable, eh?
i doubt that he'd use an electronic kit
11. I toured with Slade for 10 years on and off, Dave was ok but to me it seemed like he still thought it was 1970, no we're not moving our drum kit so you can set yours up.. Eh?? We're all being paid here to put on a show aren't we..bloody (ex) superstars.
12.
Have to be The Darkness for me, good songs, great riffs, singalong choruses and most of all, darn good fun.
with or without the Spandex mate?
13. Here you are TimHiggins. http://youtu.be/q_KuD0AjWdE
14. Its not a fender P tho is it.. Only joshing, it looks a beauty mate, enjoy .
15.
I think Nick Beggs would be perfect for this gig and might inject some vitality back into the band. Just my opinion though.
wouldn't surprise me if Lee Pomeroy jumped on the wagon, he's been Wakemans touring bassist for years.
16. Treat yourself, take a trip to Denmark.
17.
Nope..... you can't leave me hanging ........ why would you never ship a bass over from the States again?
sorry Jennie, didn't mean to keep you hanging, Customs got hold of the bass and among other things I had to purchase some kind of license (£150) as the neck had mother of pearl dot inlays!! So a £650 bass with custom charges, import tax and shipping was a tad expensive .
18. We're not interested!!! Very good matey, well done.
19. I must of been lucky, my 2014 gibson sg bass is faultless, altho i will never ship a bass over from the states again.
