  1. Xenomorph not do it well enough?
  2. I think it could be a building block to getting more synth tones out if it. I only had a quick play but if you back the fuzz off It seems to be able to put out sine/saw/square wave tones which you could process further? having said that no doubt it’s not as good as a dedicated synth pedal but hey ho
  3. Played with the dynamic splitter?
  4. good shout that's a cool feature! - and super quick to start up too now!
  5. wish the stomp had metering. almost tempting to upgrade! - if anyone is also tempted it looks like @Woodinblack is wanting to trade an LT for a Stomp. Someone do it before I'm tempted!!!
  6. Xenomorph fuzz.... I might be wrong but I think this might unlock a whole load of synth approximation stuff out of the helix...
  7. I tried one of them in the shop when they came out - I thought they were very very good reguardless of how much they cost
  8. I had a bass with them - they were phenomenal - I hope you manage to fix them- it shouldn’t be impossible
  9. Don’t you have a mate who could sort something like that out for you?
  10. Hmm four and a half years to my 40th.... start planning!
  11. Wal is like an old fashioned ugly ACG isn’t it?
  12. Don’t tell Rog you sold one of your Sadowsky @AndyTravis - he might not be as close a buddy. and at some point, that custom USA model he’s already thinking about for his mates 40th... you need to tell him you have got Wal sorting you. It’s going to be hard for Rog but I hope he will pull through
  13. Andy’s mate Rog doesn’t mess about!
  14. Actually this is the landing page https://ashdownmusic.com/blogs/news/last-chance-lockdown-clear-out?goal=0_20c55dd6d7-8c3057541a-1203979649&mc_cid=8c3057541a&mc_eid=056b34d57a
  15. I only logged into basschat this morning to check @Merton had that link!!! I’ve not been amp shorting for a long time, but some really reasonable prices on the valve amps
  16. You realising why I got bassdoc to make me one now?
  17. I was tempted by the 4 but then realised we are close to dollar parity... And I’ve no money!
  18. If you look down the list there’s an Olympic white one too and a 4 - grabbed the wrong photo!
  19. It’s different ethos of how you approach live sound. I’m using the stomp into a PA at church (proper FRFR) and using the amp and cab models. The perception of how it works in the mix is via the PA. That said when I was in my originalls band we very very quickly got to a point where the PA was doing all the lifting for the FOH sound - at that point the amp and cab are essentially a fancy stage prop at worst or a single instrument monitor at best. Obviously your experiences don’t match mine which proves the point that everyone’s needs and bands needs are different!
  20. So do I - I just add the colour with the helix!
  21. I’m finding that too - it’s really sensitive to input. You kinda have to set up compression and anything that uses dynamics for each bass. im using mine into the effects return of a HK quantum 600 and into Stevies BCCab I made. So FRFRish on a budget
  22. I’ve built a few basses from parts, and for my last build built the body from a lump of wood ... it was fun. The next step would be making the neck too... watching that video makes me think I’ll stick to someone else doing the making from now on!
  23. I know it’s An old post - but That looks awesome
