1. I love playing all of my basses but only gig the headless now. Feeling at home with one bass works for me
2. That is a very cool lamp Are you taking commissions lol
3.
Not noticed any "Feelers" in the Basses for Sale section recently...have they been outlawed now?

No
Clear and to the point. I love this forum
4. I own the rehearsal space and PA. I also set up the web space etc. And the band store their kit at my place. And you say I need other musicians to sound good The band NEED me just to sound
5.
The problem is that there just aren't very many drummers. Drums are just about the least practical instruments around so very few people have either the space or the family/neighbours willing enough to indulge them in having a set at home. The consequence is that drums are not a very popular instrument, and then, to make matters worse, a high proportion of drummers literally never touch the drums unless they're at a band practice or a gig. So you've got small numbers of them in the first place, magnified by the fact that a high proportion of that small number just can't/won't practice.
Is that why our drummer leaves his kit at my house Actually he has three kits and does practice inbetween our rehearsals. and he is very good
6. Our drummer is fantastic We get on well. He even gets us gigs. Im just lucky I guess
7.
Yep I can do that. Most guys can change their hand and pretend they are someone else :-D
Just sprayed my drink all over the computer lol I sold my beatle bass as I didn't like it (after a year of playing it mind). I never did get a macca sound out of it either
8. I once had a drunk lady flash her er... appendages at me. My wife, who was sitting in the audience, was not amused!
9. I may just accept that challenge. My daughter is into cosplay too so I will have to get her to make me a costume I can't play bass as well as him but I can look as er charismatic lol
10.
You certainly do a very cool job indeed, without which Muse wouldn't be lauded by many (including, perhaps slightly oddly, Steve Wright) as 'the best live band in the world'. Despite the various machinations on here about the band's current output, I didn't start this thread with the intention of it being in any way 'anti-Muse'. I'm a fan - I'm just struggling a little to get my head around the new material, and would hate it if they ended up being a parody of themselves. As has been demonstrated countless times in the past, in the insular world of rock stardom it's equally easy to veer towards musical absurdity as well as brilliance.
Fair enough I love my job and it has been very hard not to talk about the various projects I have worked on No one usually sees the backstage stuff but when I watch a band I'm (sadly) thinking of how it all goes together and who won the contract!
11. It is all for the lights and LCD displays. The show is quite something Hopefully I will be allowed to post more info in time.
12.
Am I the only one who thought this was a rather cool and impressive job? Without you, things would be a bit dark and quiet, right? lol! Tell us more!
Around three months ago, my company were asked if we could design and supply a power and data distribution system for a well known band. I came up with a 3D design and after a few tweaks it was accepted. Then I was sworn to secrecy and the band name was revealed to me. I like Muse and I was really proud to be a part of the whole thing. I have been itching to tell people but apart from being forbidden, the negativity around here also put me off (this must be the third anti muse thread!). Finally, the system was delivered and it all works great I have photo's but sadly, again, I have been forbidden from posting them. Without my system, the show would indeed be very dark lol.
13. Welcome to the club I have two Jazz basses and have never looked back!
14. Not a lot of love for Muse on this forum........ I recently designed the power distribution system for their latest tour. I am really proud of it and wish them all the best
15. I get up early and practice before the hours commute to work. Then every weekend I put time aside to play. It means a lot to me so I make time
16. It does seem a shame that we are heading in that direction at an alarming rate I personally like to play my best. If after several takes, I suppose time is money and it is cheaper to fix it later. It may not be right but sadly it is a fact of life.
17.
Problem is with the vast majority of these weekend promoters is that such a promise is worth about as much in writing as it would be whispered into the ear of a fleeting unicorn.
I am going to steal this quote and use it at the sales meeting tomorrow. Don't know in what context but I am going to get it in there some how!
18. After the last song has finished and the crowds applause is dying down. I turn to the misses and say 'what did you think?'. 'Well that's two hours of my life I'll never get back' That still hurts!
19.
Killing Vegas @ Horsham Battle Of The Bands 2012 Final, the song is called "Down"
I really enjoyed that. Killswitch Engage better watch out! Did you win?
20.
Hello mate. That has the punk vibe! I agree with skol, you should look at the mix a bit and get some heavy drums on it, but I don't know what recording set up you have and that may not be easily possible.
Hi Nige That is your old headless performing I used my trusty Yamaha keyboard to get the drums. I didn't know we could remix! I will have another go at the weekend. (by the way, Hazel is looking at universities for next year to do a degree in fashion for performing arts!) how time flies
21. When composing my own stuff, no I don't copy licks knowingly. I play mostly covers in my band so, yep knicked licks all night
22.
Shame the rest of the company was performing Hamlet, but you can't have everything ...
Explains why I got 'let go'
