Remember the knife thread recently? I have a damascas steel hand-forged japanese kitchen knife. Why? Because they can get incredibly sharp, it cuts effortlessly, and I love the thought of how it was made, and how it looks. It's a pleasure to use. No-one has ever complimented me on how exquisitely chopped the carrots and onions are. That doesn't matter.

I agree with our leafy colleague above. Some people have the money and inclination to buy the latest and greatest thing, and then you'll see it on the market a while later when the next toy tempts them. Nothing wrong with it, and it has no bearing on the quality.

Yep, I have a 78 P which started life out as Olly White, although it was stripped by the time I came into its life. I've just refinished it In original Olly white again. It'll be quite unusual because it's white and not yellow!

Yes, it has been debated often on the forum. I'm in the same position in that I went class D for a while, but eventually went back to heavy stuff as something was just not there. Never say never though - the technology is improving all the time, and we're just starting to see the next generation of class D power amps.

I bought one after I busted my left shoulder and it hurt to just wear the bass with the normal leather strap. It enabled me to keep gigging and has remained on the bass ever since.

Never tried a Fodera, but on the subject of Wood & Tronics, I know that Enrico spent a lot of time at the Fodera workshop, and used this experience as inspiration when he went back to Italy to make W&T instruments. It is certainly evident in the exquisite laminated 's' shaped neck joints on the thru-necks.

Can you put it beside a can of Coke for scale purposes please (not one of the crappy tiny ones you get on airplanes) I can only truly guage the size of something if it's beside a can of coke.
