1.
Whale "Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe"
Brilliant song! I had forgotten about that altogether, thanks. Also, of the same ilk, Goldbug's version of Whole Lotta Love
2. Yes, white spirit should be fine to thin the Tru Oil
3. Whatever you do, don't play it like this (2:22) http://youtu.be/pA0GIS7hinc
4. If money was no object, I'd get the Glockenklang Heart Rock II and Glockenklang 6 Box 6x10 Heavy and bulky, but who cares! Then, when my back caves in, I'll swap it back to my current rig (Avalon U5>Crest CA9*>Barefaced Super Twin) *heavy but easily shiftable
5. Several that I thought of have already been mentioned, but I would add George Porter Jr and Joseph Zigaboo Modeleste
6.
I stupidly traded a T65 with a beautiful custom enclose, that filter on the down octave is huge. One thing would have stopped me from trading it and thats an expression in for the down octave filter, that would have been unreal fun - but since I have a hog and dont wprry too hard about real eatate I stupidly traded. But - I got custom COG dirt box for it which is a vital piece of kit! Massive.
I kind of built my little board around the expression pedal/octave/filter thing - it's a whole heap of fun!
7.
Following up on the contego, just read on TB that they don't fit Jazz basses? Unless they have changed the design recently which I don't think they have?
I'd be very surprised at that. My bass is wider than a Jazz and just as long, with a similar offset body and it fits in the Contego fine
8. I find the Mono M80 a bit lacking in the storage department, compared to the Protec Contego, which is great. The Protec also has great padding, but I fear you may find it too heavy When you say one handle, do you mean a side carry handle? I'm not sure I've seen a case with more (or less) than one TBH
9. Cheers Chris, yeah it was great fun to film
10. Aka 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration
11.
I have now fallen in love with a Sandberg Panther 5 String so the ACG Gallus has to go! It is available in the For Sale section at £550. Check out the ad and PM me if you think it is for you. Cheers, Mac
Trade for a Wal?
12. Sorry, semi thread derailment - please can someone with photoshop skills create a picture of Luthier Vandross, and one of Martin Luthier King while they're at it. thanks.

14.
Nice one Chris. Very interesting long-scale bass you're wielding there.
Haha, it's good for metal you know

16. My band UJahm has a new video for our song Lollipop. Shot in and around Nottingham, It was great fun to film and even features the two minirocks. I thought I'd post it here, well, because the recordings forum can be very, very quiet, and we love it and want to share it. So, if you like a nice reggae groove, have a butchers: http://youtu.be/ozQRljP0nVc
