  1. Respectfully, that’s bollocks.
  2. There’s an input pad setting somewhere. Turn it on and all will be well. also, join the FB Helix group. Every question you might think of can be answered there. The L6 guys are members.
  3. Have the super bright colours been discontinued then?
  4. that's a good point. I wonder why Dingwall don't have a pic of every colour available on their site. Seems an odd approach. Black and white are easy enough, but your dark blue might be my light purple etc.
  5. Yes it would. I'm sure the BBC will spend thousands on sound comparison services to identify if it is their whistle.
  6. I bet you'll find one in the recently opened BBC sound archive.
  7. I've found it! Why BD can't just put it on each item properly is beyond me. Cut n paste is easy.
  8. Which page? I've clicked on a few and can't find it.
  9. I'm still lusting for it. I do wish Bass Direct would actually explain the colour codes rather than 4 letters of indecipherable crap.
  10. Yes, and the outputs on the amp are parallel too. So either way 2 x 8 = 4.
  11. Yup. All gone. Silver one because it was too heavy. Blue one because of 2 things - my Marleaux has the best B on planet earth so I always gigged that, and because a mate kept begging me to sell it to him. White - because I'm a massive fecking idiot and need a slap.
  12. Not an obvious choice perhaps - but I get a great funk Marcus sound out of the Darkglass M900. Even when I use the drive on it I only add the tiniest bit for a bit of top end grit. It's a lot more versatile than expected - there are Jazz demos on youtube. And it will go to 2ohms.
  13. Many amps only have 1 output. If you want another cab you daisy chain the cabs. The cab socket is wired in parallel. just make sure your build has 2 sockets in parallel. And that the total load doesn’t go under the minimum your amp can cope with.
  14. I don't know how accurate they are - but Aguilar do 60s and 70s wind versions of their J pickups and do video demos of them. They don't do a specific 70s P, but they have a Hot version. The Js have 60s, 70, Hot etc Worth having a listen on youtube even if the person playing is a bit stinky poo. I've got a 60s wind P in my PJ-Ray and it's very nice. Not sure that helps you really!
  15. another vote for the "play the right note at the right time" approach here. Ideally get a rehearsal before the show too.
  16. Ooo the reverse headstock one is lovely!
  17. I'e got a V already. I'm wondering about getting the Bass version - for the different harmonies.
  18. I've had 3 and I miss them all Of the 3, I really wish I hadn't sold the white one. It was superb. At the time I was only gigging 5 strings and playing that only at home. Should have kept it. Someone on here bought it. Can't remember who though.
  19. Ah - I saw that on facebook. Made me throb a bit, I can tell you!
  20. Other than the different harmony choices is there any difference between the Whammy 5 and the Bass Whammy? Is the bass one really optimised for bass or is that marketing crap? Anyone used both of them?
  21. That’s the only bass I’m gassing for at the mo. Im happy with what I’ve got, but I still want that!
  22. Not watched it yet - but I bet it will be 5 mins of "duG pedal is awesome" and then 35 mins of "I hate DG"
  23. Might help if you said where the collection would be from!
  24. Funny enough I never rated Dogman. Out of the Silent Planet is probably my favourite. I still play it loads.
