  1. Another vote for Zilla. I've had 2 of their guitar cabs and they've always been excellent. They did have some email issues a little while ago. Pick the phone up. Paul is a great guy and easy to chat with about exactly what you want.
  2. Very nice strings. Love the white ones as well- I had the whites on a Zon Hyperbass when it was in standard tuning and it was amazing.
  3. I’m about to put a Nordstrand J blade in my P-Ray. cant wait to try it!
  4. Gutted I didn’t spot that pink P bass before it sold!
  5. Boss Katana. I love mine. Was completely surprised by it.
  6. Lovely new look. Easy to navigate too. nice.
  7. My Ray 5 is now loads lighter, with lightweight tuners and far more comfortable. There's also the tiny issue of having all the electrics ripped out and made into a passive P bass!
  8. Never have done. Never had any backing tracks and things to sync to. I like a band to shift tempo as they feel the music. I'm pretty sure Anthrax don't even record with a click! Although I did once do a gig with a drummer who was soooo nervous or 40 minute set was finished about 8 minutes early. That was hard work!
  9. All of a sudden I'm glad I only play pubs and sports halls!
  10. On the recent Metallica Rig Rundown there's a chat with the guy who does their wireless - some info about how difficult it is on 300ft stages with multiple guitars / lots of different mic points, wifi interference, 100,000 people in the crowd with phones etc etc. It's fascinating stuff.
  11. If it's an investment vintage instrument then keep it original. Quite stupidly collectors of such things care more about that than whether the damn thing is actually playable. Oooo look it's got the original frets... worn down to be almost fretless and sounds crap as a result, but yay! I've love a 70s jazz. But I don't trust myself. In under 10 mins I'd have upgraded the bridge, ripped out the heavy tuners and put in Ultralights, and if it's a heavy one I'd be routing out under the scratchplate too. But then again... if it's for me and I want to gig it... then why not? I don't think I'd buy anything I didn't want to gig.
  12. I've got one of those. It's pretty good. Same issue as with a lot of vibration sensing tuners though - if your band mates don't shut up the bass body can still vibrate at whatever freq the PA / guitar amps are pushing and make the tuner reading very dodgy. It does seem to get through batteries a bit too.
  13. After defections Chad has now changed the group rules so people can recommend products that he doesn't make. Would not surprise me if the real L6 guys had a word behind the scenes. Can't be good for a brand.
  14. He should have used a Ricky. Or at least a good copy of one..... [running for cover]
  15. The epic thread has been deleted now. Apparently because of the rules. I may have now mentioned that there is nothing in the rules that allows the deletion of a thread about the rules. I'm expecting the banhammer. Still - the actual Line 6 guys post in all manner of FB groups.
  16. Me neither - it's True Bypass.
  17. If you can't remember that you shouldn't be gigging.
  18. It seems many people have had enough of Chad's cow poop. New group set up without any commercial interest https://www.facebook.com/groups/277638979440762/?multi_permalinks=277644386106888&notif_id=1524047629675579&notif_t=group_activity
  19. I see he's updated the group rules to exclude all competing products. He claims his products "fund" the group. I wasn't aware that FB charged anything. I'm guessing he just wants paying for sitting on FB all day.
  20. Chad's just deleted another post mentioning Designworx products. Man he's a silly billy.
  21. Depends. Sometimes that's all I need. Sometimes I need lots of FX. Depends on the set list. But generally I'll always take a compressor. They are just too useful in fixing room problems. And obviously a tuner. People who show up to shows without a tuner have a special place in hell reserved for them.
  22. For those who were interested in capacitive button extenders.. It's a prototype by Designworx. Facebook link below.
  23. That's true! Probably true for most reviewers though.
  24. That sounds good!!
