2.
Peter Cook Guitars in Station Road, Hanwell have a repair and service dept. I haven't used them but they might be worth checking out.
Aye, Stuart does all that but he's only around Saturday mornings. He does a lot of private work and he lives in Ruislip. PM me if you want his number.

4.
Well remembered! I gave Hobbayne the note-for-note copy I have - another satisfied customer!
Yes you did thanks very much! However, we made such a pigs arse of it we gave it up!
5. Take a listen to the great Jet Harris making a complete ballsup of this song recorded live with no overdubs on Cliffs debut album in 1959
6. I got a lift to the station from Nine Below Zero bassist Brian Bethell many moons ago. He was in the old Red lion in Brentford watching a blues outfit called the Cobras. I told him I was a bass player too and he asked what I used, and when I told him a Squier P he turned his nose up! Mind you this was 1985 ish.
7. Hmmmm! Where abouts in Herts? If its the London end I may have a shifty at it
8. It is really I suppose, but I just love the grain in the wood and the block inlays
9. I like this one as demonstrated by John Mc Vie, I'm not really a fan of them, but I do like this!
10. Just the two I,m afraid. A 2011 US Standard P Bass In Olympic White and a Sunburst Bitsa thing I put together from bits and peices (In my avatar pic)
11. Try not to get too near the mike, you are singing backing vox so you dont want to drown out the singer. Take a step back so you can year if you are pitching correctly.
12. I dont mind Hartke, I used to have a Kickback combo a few years back. But people can be a bit snobby. Behringer get a rough deal as well.
13. These ones http://www.amazon.co.uk/Proguard-MYO-Mould-custom-earplugs/dp/B006ZLF9EU
14. How many of you use earplugs when rehearsing and gigging? I have noticed my own hearing has been going down the pan recently. In order to preserve whats left I have bought some mould your own ones that fit your ears precisely.
15. Hmmph! For a forum entitled Basschat, I have not seen even one fish related post yet!!
16. Monkey Man has a great bassline, and Special Brew has a nice little bass fill/solo towards the end.
17. Where abouts in Ealing?
18. From last weekends gig. Spot the bitsa P bass
19. The Watton guitar and bass center is about an hours drive away. http://watton-breckl...e-17279413.html
20. I liked that movie Oceans Eleven.
21.
Please please me all root notes? It has some great little walking lines in it and some tidy rock and roll style fills, defo not roots only that one.
Oh I had forgotten about the fills. Only roots for the verses then
22. I suppose even Macca is guilty on songs like "A hard days night" and "Please please me"
23.
Yeah I watched this yesterday. Some interesting stories behind a lot of the tracks on the album. I never realised the bassist was English!
Yes and he was not the original bassist either, I got that wrong. It was Gary Valentine.
24.
Link?
Doh! http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04fmgkb/blondies-new-york-and-the-making-of-parallel-lines
25. Just stumbled across this on the BBC iPlayer. Quite informative insight into the first album I bought as a lad. Features original bass player Nigel Harrison being interviewed over his run ins with producer Mike Chapman.
