I Always have a spare tuned up ready in case. Its not only strings that go, there are a multitude of other gremlins lurking in the nether regions of the bassworld! Oh, and a Sansamp in case the amplifier packs up as well!

Our singer uses some lyrics which are discreetly placed in front of the monitor which he sometimes peeps at.

For pick stuff probably Down in the sewer or Peaches by The Stranglers. Fingerstyle I like to play Come Together or Daytripper. Also a walking line such as The Shadows Nivram or Fly me to the moon etc.

I recently played with a sh*te drummer in a functions band. He was so bad that he was still banging away even after the song had ended! The band leader agreed he was bad, but kept him on because he got all the gigs! Needless to say I bailed.

Theres a lot of respect on here for the Bass Gallery, but I found them rude and surly. Wunjos are much better IMHO.

A Satellite. The shortscale bass version of this: It was terrible. I stuck sticky labels on the frets with the notes on. I bought it from a second hand shop in 1982 and sold it back to them when I was skint. My second bass was a Westone Thunder 1 from my mates mums Littlewoods catalogue.
