1. I really need to get a decent tab for Family's classic old stomper "Burlesque", it's for a dep gig and I don't have the time to work the bugger out myself. Can't find a decent tab for it anywhere. Which is a problem for *SO* many songs. If I was the Boss of Everything I'd make it a capital offense to post a tab that was crap, incomplete, or in the wrong sodding key. The words "I think it goes a bit like this..." would result in the immediate emasculation of the poster by the two bricks method, without anaesthetic. Rant over. (and breathe...)
2. I used to have one of these, almost a lifetime ago. Chimike is right. They certainly get you noticed. Fantastic cabs.

4. I bought one of Geoff's JV Precisions from him and, as I was passing through Brum on my way to Bristol, and changing trains there, he even consented to meet me at New Street Station to hand over the bass. Above and beyond the call of duty. Nice guy, fantastic transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him (or buy from him) again.

6. Stunning bass. I'm a bit overloaded with ACGs at the moment (as if there could ever be such as thing as overloaded the ACGs) but if anyone needs a gentle prompt - this is worth every penny and more. It'll be one of the best basses you'll have ever had your hands on. Buy it (and bumperooney!)
7. Resurrecting an old thread: CSL were the brand of Charles Summerfield Ltd. The instruments were made at FujiGen but they're not merely rebranded Ibanez. Summerfield had his own ideas about construction and, especially electronics, and FujiGen built the guitars to his specs quite apart from the Ibanez lines. Naturally, Ibanez then nicked a fair number of his ideas. I owned both a sunburst CSL Telecaster guitar and an off-white CSL Jazz bass around 1974 / 75. They held their own with just about anything that Gibson and Fender were producing at the time. If I could find another (or a German Hoyer from the same era - which were astonishing, especially their Ric 4001 copy) I'd buy it in a flash.
8. Would it be possible to post, or send to me via PM, photos of the front and rear of the headstock and give me a serial number, please. A photo of the rear of the body would be helpful too. I'm interested but want to do some research so that I know *exactly* what it is I'm thinking of buying. Thanks.
9. Ash, thanks for noticing and giving the heads up. Discussions will no doubt ensure shortly. As per PMs I'll be in touch a little later. Dave.

11. This can be paired to two x 4ohm cabs, yes? One being driven by each powerstage? Are you able to then blend the powerstages so both cabs are in operation at once? I'm interested in the amp but I'm not sure I get what the point of the two power amps is - and the Genz Benz site, such as it is these days, doesn't really make things any clearer. EDIT: Found this, which explains all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTh69K9ezaU I'm now in deep thought... I'll be in touch.
12. Sadly unable to see pics - it's the "update the account to enable 3rd party hosting" message appearing instead.

SWR

I gigged an SWR Triad cab (powered by a Trace EH350SMX) for about 15 years. Still have them both, too, although I use them not so much these days. Tone to die for when my back is up to it...
14. Straight trade for my Roscoe SKB3005 Custom? You can see it here (if you have Facebook): https://www.facebook...500126421227356 EDIT: Just seen your "no trades on this one, thanks". Oh, well, GLWS. It's a really nice Lull.
15. I gigged one for years sat atop a Boogie Diesel 6x10. The rest of the band knicknamed the rig "Darth Vader's Fridge". *shrug*
16. Excellent basses for the dosh. GLWS.
17. I'm gnawing on my knuckles in an attempt to stop myself blurting "Me, me me, I'll take it!" I have 24 basses already I DO NOT need another. In fact, I need some serious herd pruning already. But... Oh, my! GLWS.
18. I already own a goldtop version so I'll pass on this but in order to help with the sale some more info would be useful for others who will be interested. Where are you located? Are postage/courier costs included and will there be a discount for personal collection? If postage/courier isn't included, what are the charges? Is the case included in the sale? And so on...
19. Drunk Punter: "Can you play something by Garth Brooks?"* Me: "We can! It never appeared on one of his own albums but this next one's a song he wrote for Black Sabbath!"** With the pissheads it's surprisingly effective at making them toddle off and usually gets a titter from the attentive ones in the audience. *Or whoever. ** Whatever's next in your set.
20. No surprises here. I didn't think that this would stick around for very long. Someone has a fantastic amp at a bargain price.

22. I bought Nick's MXR Envelope Filter. Excellent sale. All as described, well packed and prompt postage. No issues, good bloke and highly recommended.
23. Buying a bass from Grahame is a VERY nice experience. He even photographed the packaging process and emailed the shots to me; he was *exactly* what you would hope for in a seller. Great communication and an extremely stress-free process. Buy with confidence This is one of the good guys.
