1. Sorry to hear you missed out on the Puma, Karl. But thanks for the GB. Pleasure to meet you and do business with you..
2. Hold this until tomorrow. Just about to gig and was having a browse. Very interested. Will pm tomorrow.
3. Can i be second in the queue, in case first in the queue gets too close to an exploding drummer or something?
4. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
5. Yes, Scoop did. Pinch me...
6. Item: MIM Burgundy Mist 60s re-issue Jazz. Dealing with Ben was a pleasure. I'd have no problem recommending him for any deals you want to enter into with him. The description of the bass he was selling was spot on, he's easy to communicate with and there were no hassles at all. One of the good guys.
7. Fabulous instruments. Always regret selling my Consat 5. GLWS and have a bump.
8.
Quite right too... more than eighteen would be ridiculous...
You know it. More than eighteen is just silly.
9. I've never so much as held a Sandberg much less played one. They look superb, in general, though I disliked the oval Delano pickups they sometimes used purely on aesthetic grounds. I need to try one out sometime, Looks like a great bass, congrats on your purchase.
10. I recently sold my Ric 4003 Blue Boy so down to just the eighteen at the moment.
11. Either of your first two: Burgundy Mist or Daphne Blue. I already have one of the former so, personally, I'd go Daphne but either would work for me.
12. I hate every bass that I don't own yet. ...and drummers that can't timekeep.
13.
Absolutely no reason why not. You'll likely need to fit a new nut, otherwise the strings will not sit nicely in the larger slots. I've found I'm not keen on C strings on larger frets though Si
Agreed on all points. One of my fives is strung with a high C and, just to make life a little easier for you (and in case you didn't already know) Warwick make string sets with a high C and, so far as I'm aware, are the only made-up sets available. Happy to be proved wrong. I get mine here: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/warwick-warwick-5-string-black-label-25-105-high-c-long-scale-bass-strings-p8258
14. Laydownthafunk: No, no ACG don't. Not even if you beg.
15. ACG. Unquestionably. My 14th is being built as we speak.
16. Damn me for delaying. Still, it means I have money left for something else that's caught my eye I'm sure the new owner will love it.
17. I played this briefly while it was still up at ACG HQ. A really nice bass. Someone's getting a bargain. GLWTS
18. Very nice bass and extremely tempted. Do you have the original hard case for it? Gigbag?
19. That's a cracking bass. ...but then, most of Alan's are.
20. I own 12 ACGs and, obviously, I love them - this is a complete bargain and if you buy it you won't be disappointed. GLWS and a bump.
21. ACG all the way. Hand built custom jobs and all of these are WELL within budget. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/22/ http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/16/ http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/30/ http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/27/ Fabulous basses with great preamps. I have ten of them so I should know. I'd simply not buy another bass from another manaufacturer ever again.
