1. I write and record with a few friends - passing stems back and forth and adding and tweaking parts. It takes a while to get anywhere as it all gets slotted in around other stuff, but it's fun and perfectly doable. Have you tried putting up some adverts, see if anyone's interested ?
 2. Perfect for that 'brown tone'.
 3. Great preamps. Mine's seen a lot of use and a lot of love.
 4. I bought Mark's Kustom 210 cab - lovely chap to deal with, excellent price and a fab cab. Another thumbs-up for a great BassChatter.
 5. Lovely bass and sweet playing, very nice. GLWTS
 6.
So it wasnt your intent to be partonising, in that case I apologise and will end our dialogue with this post. Isnt it a shame that despite having made my intentions clear that you still continued to insist that I was in the wrong because my actions didnt conform with your notion of what is right and proper - do you see where Im going with this?
No, I don't.
 7.
Allow me to clear a few things up: Your replies were condesending and patronising so I merely returned the favour. I dont want nor need your advice thanks so please keep it to yourself. Im doing just fine without it. If I need advice I ask for it from people I know and whose opinion I value and who also know me. People were literally calling me sexist and mysogonistic - these are personal and baseless insults and so I rightly told these people where to go. If you knew me in real life you would know I am the first person to hold my hands up when Ive made a mistake, the fact I havent done that here tells you all you need to know
What other people were calling you is nothing to do with me - if you have a problem with them then go talk to those who were insulting to you. Please don't shift your annoyance with others onto me just because I'm the one replying to you - it's not fair in the slightest. I'm sorry if you think I was being patronising, it certainly wasn't my intention, nor do I think I was. I would have been quite happy to discuss why I disagreed with you, but it doesn't seem you're interested. As for needing advice, well...if you don't want people to discuss what you think then I'd not post threads on internet forums espousing your thoughts - you are rather inviting opinion, and not everyone is going to like what you say.
 8.
I have just read Si's lengthy post, however, and I'd just like to thank him for taking the time to write such a carefully considered and thoughtful response. Cheers Si.
Agreed, very much so.
 9.
Ok so you can dish it out but can't take it. Thanks for clearing that up. Now move along to your next SJW rally...
Dish what out ? Rudeness ? I've not been rude to you at all. I've disagreed with what you've said, that's all. I've been careful, I think, to talk about what you've said, not who or what you are. I've not said you're sexist or misogynist as others have - I've addressed your comments and tried to explain where the inappropriateness in your comments are, as I see them. You have described me as a 'snowflake' (which I believe wasn't intended to praise my complexity and purity) and demeaned my intelligence. Not cool. As for the snowflake comment - the moment your opinion was challenged you started insulting people, rejecting their comments and showed all the signs of not being able to deal with an opinion other than your own. From what I understand about the term 'snowflake', well....
 10.
jesus wept snowflake, I was being civil, I didnt even use any bad language or insults. The fact you are so cut up by what I said suggest only one thing...
"...you guys need to get out from behind your keyboards and spend some time in the real world and spend time interacting with real people in real life scenario" You're saying that my viewpoints are based on a lack of knowledge of the 'real world' [sic] and that I don't interact with 'real people' [sic] in 'real life' [sic] It's patronising and insults my intelligence, but it's not rude ?
 11.
To those who think me complimenting this young ladies appearance is any way a negative thing, you guys need to get out from behind your keyboards and spend some time in the real world and spend time interacting with real people in real life scenarios. Maybe then you will have a more balanced and realistic outlook on life as well as how and when offence is meant and caused.
Hey, how about being civil ? No need to be slagging people off just because you disagree with them.
 12.
Simple stuff: had the bassist in the video been a guy then we wouldn't be discussing his physical opinion at all. I know this to be true, for videos of male bassists are shared on here and their appearance is never once mentioned. The physical appearance of a male bassist isn't even any sort of subject of discussion, whether it be pleasing or otherwise. The unconscious bias/mysogyny here is that because the performer is female then their physical appearance somehow factors into the video. This doesn't mean that anybody goes home and beats their wife, simply that you subconsciously apply a different set of rules automatically when a woman is involved in activity X. This doesn't make me a 'SJW', 'special snowflake' or in any way offended, just to clarify before those tiresome tropes are dragged into it.
Very eloquently put.
 13.
I don't need your advice mate cause I know I've done nothing wrong. I would advise you to reserve your judgement and criticism of others unless you are sure their intention is not honourable.
I'll take your advice if you take mine...how does that grab you ?
 14.
I did not say she was a stunning guitar player. I said she was stunning, as is her playing, her composition and the instrument. If people are going to choose to get offended or label me as sexist or misogynistic based on the grammatical structure of a thread title that only is only complimentary to a female guitar player then I worry for these people and the state of the world. What ever happened with giving people the benefit of the doubt... Maybe it's just much easier jumping to conclusions...
I'm not offended, just trying to offer you some advice.
 15.
I did FFS! She IS talented and she IS beautiful! I will not be made to try and feel bad for saying so and nor should I. Paying a woman a compliment on her appearance is in no way derogatory, sexist or mysogynistic. Does your wife, partner, girlfriend etc. look at you like a piece of sh*t when you tell ehr how beautiful she is? No, thought not! Btw, I would say the same damn thing if it was a handsome bloke playing the piece. WTF is wrong with people these day??? Really are some over sensitive snowflakes round here trying to get offended for absolutely no reason whatsoever!
Whether you feel bad for saying so is up to you, but I don't think it's appropriate to praise somebody's appearance in the same breath as their skills, irrespective of gender. Women in particular are too often evaluated on the basis of what they look like, not what they can do, so it's best not to conflate the two. btw, If I tell my wife whe's beautiful she thanks me, but if I were to say that she was a 'beautiful Senior Business Analyst' she'd most likely tell me that she's a Senior Business Analyst whose husband found beautiful
 16.
excuse me? WTF is wrong with me saying that I find a girl attractive? How dare you accuse me of being sexist and mysoginistic simply for paying the girl a compliment on her physical appearance as well as her musical talent!
Praise the skills - what she can do, not what she is.
 17. Guitarist playing bass ?
 18. Brilliant band - a lot of time for them...Steve Severin's snakey basslines are much overlooked. Kiss in the Dreamhouse and Ju Ju run very high in my esteem.
 19.
The guitarist mentioned that they will be using 2 x 100w Blackstar combos
Overkill springs to mind.
 20. I'd say the ex-owner is leaving it by the bins in case anyone wants it. In the bins and by the bins. Whole different meaning.
 21.
Think it depends on why you play. This is back to the old "playing for fun and not for money" arguement. Dave
Very much so.
 22. Awesome from start to finish, not watched that for a while. Thanks.
 23. I've heard they're good for commandments.
 24.
I bought the body for my Telecaster from them, really nice quality, especially for the money.
Indeed, I bought a mighty fine one-piece Jazz body from them. Turned out lovely.
