2. a band splitting up is like a relationship ending...you never want anything to do with that kind of stuff again... but time heals - i'm glad you're back at it now though. and btw - what's 'best practice' ? some kind of pitch-shifting thingumy ?
 3. how about epoxying a length of steel rod to the exposed screw and then using a pair of pliers when it's set.

 5.
I think she'll be fine.
plus the one. let her have a go...obviously there's the concern about laying out the money for a bass and so on, but here's an idea...you say you like bass ? you could always take it up if the bass goes the way of her flute !!
 6. if only it were black, and had the 'normal' number of strings....
 7.
Go on, you know you want to...
if i can flog my aria valve overdrive on ebay i will...i'm trying to stick to a 'one in, one out' at the moment...

 12.
You can have my "supa cooker" for £500 if you arrange collection & I'll throw in the Processor for free! Hows that sound?
does it come with a kettle lead ?
 13.
My wife is awesome, she knows my bass playing is the biggest part of what makes me me and fully accepts and encourages it. She knows if im not playing i get grumpy and over the last ten years has learnd a great deal about basses too which is cool when she points out a p bass or whatever.
sounds like you're as lucky as me ! girlfren (we're not married !) loves me having a bass and (small !) amp in the front room "cos it's part of you", and comes to as many of my gigs as she can. she also listens to music i've made on her ipod and reallt looks forward to my gigs. she even bought me my new swr 2x12 for my birthday...i'm very lucky ! and today's our 15th anniversary
 14. "beautiful spalt maple" an oxymoron if there ever was one...it looks like someone hoyed up your bass
 15.
9v is 9v in my book.
plus the one. i couldn't even tell you what make or kind of battery is in my actives basses. once they go in they'e forgotten about.
 16.
Several years ago I was at the Wal workshop takling to Pete Stevens about the great sound of old (1970's) Wals. He said that the sound changed when they had to switch from imperial wire to metric wire. You wouldn't think that a small change would make such a difference!
you should hear the change in tone when i stopped using black guitar cable and started using a red one....
Did you have both pedals plugged into the same 9V power supply ? If so I'd be tempted to have a look at the power supply.
plus the one
 18. eventually amps will end up like mobile phones...you'll end up losing then down the side of the sofa !!
 19.
Ok, I'll give that a go...should be fine, I know what I'm doing I'll post back!
keep one hand in your pocket if you're inside an amp....those caps can hold charge for quite a while !!
 20.
I find that low power bass amps are a waste of money, you NEED at least a hundred watts to reproduce the low end! There might be amps that defy this rule, but this is what I've experienced.
um...it is just a practise amp !!

 22.
well its out, and imo overpriced, anyone gunna take the plunge n buy one?? i cant see me ever spending £125 on it, i was hoping it would be cheaper than the blowtorch, but alas. found it for £109 at one place, and that link above is at £85, but both are out of stock, and no doubt when they are back in they will mark their prices up with the likes of dv and a few others opinions?
i'd be interested to hear it, but i'm not as interested as i was...between my fulltone bass driver and the mxr di+ (thanks again bmk), i'm quite happy. if i were interested i'd certainly be waiting a bit for the prices to come down...
 23. the question is...does it come with a kettle lead ?
 24.
that english muffin sound sample has put me right off it, seems to totally suck tone away when engaged?? or are my pc speakers being particulary sh*te today
it sounds ok to me...
