You can buy 'em brand new for £400!
can you ??? where ??? i've got a starfire, but i'd be interested in a cassidy for that price...spesh if it were in black !!! who knows...i might even sell my starfire then...

  8. a band i was in years ago played metroland at the metrocentre once. that was weird...massive PA, kids on fun rides...and a bunch of us crusties playing...
  9. ok - just an update on the faulty steel leather. the nice people at creative tools have tested my steel leather and have agreed to replace it as it was passing current through to the output, so they're going to replace it. i also spoke to them about my micro q-tron which the steel leather damaged and ehx have said they'll replace that as well. BUT...here's the rub. EHX say that that steel leather can't be run off the same power supply as other pedals...it needs its own psu or has to be run off batteries. WTF ? nowhere in the instructions does it say this, and i'm going to be contacting ehx to tell them i think if that's the case then they should say so explicitly in the instructions. so, if you're planning on getting a steel leather, bear this in mind.
  10. hey BBN ! i'm still on for having a try of that laney on thursday...PM me !

    Distortions
if you use the odb-3 PROPERLY, it is immensly better than a double muff will ever be you know the odb-3 has a high freq and gain knob right?? have them set correctly and there will be none of the fizzyness everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon about
horses for courses bmv...

    Distortions
I got rid of my ODB-3 because I'm another who reckons it was too fizzy, but I have to admit I'm mighty tempted by the Double Muff, mainly because of the 'True Bypass' that the ODB didn't have. I've been borrowing a Danelectro Wasabi distortion which is pretty good, and has the db boost, but when it's not in use it really colours the clean sound
i really liked my double muff, sadly it's broken...
