18.
Actually the 2-band is bass boost only and treble cut/boost. When he was designing his MM replacement 2-band pre-amp John East wrote an excellent description of how the circuit works for the old Dudepit. Regretably that no longer exists. Perhaps we could persuade him to write it again. If I remember the bass is desined to be boost only BUT because of the way the circuit works it gives the impression of bass cut and boost.
thanks - i've been wondering for ages how my 1979 sabre's eq circuit worked !
19. could you use a dab of glue on the end on an allen key, and then stick that to what's left of the screw and rotate it out ?
20. although with the way the guitard in one of the bands is behaving...i might have a little more free time coming up... whereabouts in london are you ?

pedalmods uk

i sent off my awful boss cs-3 compressor to the folks at www.pedalmods.com last week for a complete overhaul, including replacing the caps with high quality panasonics, fitting a burr brown op amp and filling my request to make it more bass-friendly. the result ? they've turned possibly one of the worst pedal compressors going into a quality piece of kit. loads less noise and a lot more usable sweep of sounds. quick turnaround and excellent updates as the work was taking place. if you're thinking of having some pedal mods done, then i recommend you have a word with them.
23. if i wasn't in two bands already, i'd be knocking at your door, bass in hand !
