3.
The E and G strings look awfully close to the edge of the neck, but at £9.99 it's probably worth buying for the hardware alone.
plus the one... look-wise i quite like it, and that's not a wal pickup is it ?
4. or record someone playing whatever phrase you're using into the boss, and then play the output of that into the rig.
5.
Oh yeah.... it's chrome wow do they do tartan..... ? how cool would that be
you could just paint it with some tartan paint ! good luck with the sale...i'd have had it if it had been black
6. you could try red onion...lovely people and excellent units
7. unless you're in some kind of improv band, you should be able to play the tunes without the vocals anyway.
8. very impressive ! i can't stand the super-bright leds though...i'm too much of a cave-dweller for the bright lights
9. i'll come, if you can promise some mini-micro geordies will be there !
10.
+1 very interested in this. Played my bass through Joe meek gear before and have been impressed.
plus the one. i occasionally use my joe meek mic preamp with my power amp...the compression's lovely.
11.
Picture of the Compressor added, amp stuff still in the studio!
PM'd

13.
you try changing the input and output caps to? maybe change some of the clipping caps to or the diodes for more tubelike grit oh the possibilitys ;<
no i didn't, i'm quite happy with the sound - it's not my main distortion pedal...i use it live for a stupidly fuzzy/feedbacky tone, which it does fine with the stock components. i just wanted ot make it a bit more robust.
14. anyone know anything about these ? i've seen the video that's around from namm, but i've not been able to find much else out anyone care to share any info
15.
Thanks guys.. knew I could rely on you.. any tips for the band practices leading up to the gig?
practice the set you're going to play, in the way you intend to play it is what i'd say... if you usually face inward in a circle when you practise, set up the room as if you're facing an audience...it's surprising how much you take cues from other band members without realising it... make sure all your stuff works too...now might be the time to replace that crackly lead or duff pot.
16. be nice to the other bands, the sound engineer and the venue staff...everyone in fact. being a good live band is one thing, being a good live band who are pleasant to deal with is even better. oh, and have fun !
17. if that's the three-knob vt-1 valve compressor then i'm in...don't sell it to anyone else !!!
18. welcome to the muthalode !

22. i recently bought one of these two-knob marvels from guyl, and i'm really impressed so much so i'm considering invetsing of more of dave's creations just a quick question or two though...the power supply gets very hot...is this ok ? and there's no problem with using other valves is there ? i'm assuming not, but it sounds very nice with a 12AU7 in there at the moment.
