If I read the manual correctly there's no control over the attack and release of the compressors - for bass I think I'd want control over as many paramerters as possible - but I'm a bit of a knob-tweaker ! I'd deffo want to hear it in action first - any reason to get a four channel model rather than a dedicated mono one ?

I dug mine out on the back of this thread and had a great time with 'Sledgehammer'. Very good octaver.
