1. Wow, this is a beauty! Good luck with the sale
2. I sold a Sandberg California PM to girya32 and he was a great guy to deal with. Paid me instantly upon agreeing a deal and was excellent with communications throughout the transaction. Highly recommended Thanks Peter - I hope you enjoy the bass as much as I did - she's a real beauty!! All the best. Oli
3. Well, I certainly like them, just can't afford them
4. Thanks for the incredible interest in this bass - I wish I had more to sell to everyone who enquired. This bass is now sold, pending the usual. Cheers guys.
5. It would appear there's not a lot of love for the Kopo from BC'ers and after an awesome little jam with it last night, I've decided there's no way that we can part ways yet, so this is withdrawn for now
6.
PM'd!!
Replied
7.
Oustanding handbuilt bass at a great price. As an owner of a Sandberg Basic PM4 I can attest to the very high quality, playability and sounds of these basses. Have a bump on me.
Cheers ezbass! Indeed, if I didn't have GAS for a 5 string Clover, I'd definitely keep this beauty. It's absolutely faultless in every way from materials, to electronics to construction and the result is an utterly brilliant bass
8.
Great, keep me posted.
Hey dude, I've got a couple of basses up for sale to raise the funds for this, but nothing is shifting at the moment. Will keep you posted on progress.
9.
Man, 2 weeks and I would have bought this!!!!
It's still available - I've a number of trade offers but nothing that really tempts me to part ways with the 'berg as yet
10. I think that if you mark it as a gift with value less than £40 it might pass through customs without attracting the usual taxes, but I tried this once before with some snowboard bindings and I ended up still paying the full customs and tax. I really do love this bass though
11. Fantastic basses. I had the 400 version which I part exchanged in order to get MusicMan SUB. I sometimes regret parting ways with it. A whole lot of bang for the buck!

13. Following the installation of an East preamp into my Tanglewood Baron bass, I've decided to pass on this awesome piece of German hand crafted bass beauty. If you know Sandbergs, this will need no selling, for those who don't here's the spec: Ash body with a sunburst and soft relic finish. Canadian hard rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard. 2 band Sandberg (modified Glockenklang) noiseless preamp with active bypass. Delano 1x MM pup in bridge position, 1x P pup in neck with pickup pan control. Tort scratchplate. Sandberg 3D bridge which allows adjustment for string height, intonation and string distance. Awesome tone, killer electronics and impeccable construction. Balances beautifully on a strap and on the lap, and is incredibly comfortable - I've played it for 4 hours and never found it to get heavy. Overall in excellent condition and comes with Sandberg deluxe gig bag and tools (strap shown in the pictures is not included). Asking an even £600 collected, add £20 for delivery. If you need any more info or pics give me a shout. Pics here: In terms of trades, interested in any Sandberg Ken Taylor, Clover, Human Base, Lakland or anything interesting. Preferably 4 or 5 strings, fretted - no jazz basses though.
14.
Tuesday bump for the Rebop...... she is still wanting a new, loving home.....
I do love that Rebop...you interested in a trade at all? I've got a bass I'm selling but there's little interest at the moment /
15.
So my question is, is that tone knob worth the effort of routing a new cavity for the jack?
you shouldn't need to route a new hole, can't you just detach the jack that John includes with the preamp and attach the one from your bass? I recently fitted a U-Retro deluxe to my Tanglewood Baron and John is such a great guy to deal with. He was really helpful picking the preamp for my bass and helped me out when I had problems with the jack on mine. I had to remove the Jack provided as my bass had a barrel jack installed which needed to be re used.
16.
my garden looking lovely there bump for nice guy and a nice bass
Cheers dude! Indeed, a lovely bass it is too; looking all the lovelier in your sunny garden Bump!
17. Hi all, I bought this from JMT3781 earlier this year and despite having a great love for its design, sublime sound and very agreeable weight, I've just been landed with a hefty bill for a combi boiler. Sadly hot water wins over basses, so this is going up for sale Priced to sell at a very reasonable £600 delivered for a bass that sold (according to the luthier Frederic Pons - I can forward the email from him confirming this) for 2300 Euro's back in 2002/2003. This is one of only 3 of this model ever made. It has since been upgraded from the original pickup config of just one bridge position Delano humbucker to include another Delano soapbar; both pickups are coil tapped which, despite being a passive bass, provide a lovely palette of sounds. Currently string with La Bella Deep Talking tape wound flats which are wonderful to play on and produce a fantastic fretless tone. Balances beautifully on a strap, but not the best at staying on your lap Spec: Thru Neck construction (3 piece maple neck) Beautiful flamed maple body 1 x Delano Soapbar (coil tapped) 1 x Delano MM (coil tapped) Passive tone control (bass is passive) Ebony finger board The bass in Bramham (West Yorkshire), North East of Leeds but I'm happy to meet prospective buyers in Leeds, Harrogate or York. The bass comes in the original Kopo deluxe gig bag. If you want to know anything, please feel free to get in touch. I hope JMT3781 doesn't mind, but I've re-used his images as they're better than any ones I can take and the condition is exactly the same: Feel free to make any trade offers for 4 string fretted basses (something like a Yamaha TRB4 or Spector), obviously trading down with cash my way. Any questions, just get in touch Cheers!
18. Is that a trick of the light, or is that one crazy figured piece of wood on the wings? It looks like a sedimentary rock face! Nice. Oh yeah, do you mean 35" scale, as opposed to 25"? Lovely bass!
19. Whatever wood that is he's used on the neck (looks like burled/birdseye maple?), it's beautiful! Bump for an intriguing bass....
20.
I'm afraid i've got no idea on exact figures Just got my ruler out and judging by other figures bridge spacing is 17.5mm not sure on neck profile sorry
I had a 4 string one of these, ended up selling it to some chap in Australia. Absolutely fantastic basses; you'd be really hard pushed to find a better built bass with as much bang for your buck as this. A bit more info for anyone interested; very much a Warwick copy, and that goes for both the 'bell brass' frets and the solid one piece bubinga body (the back is also faintly curved like the Thumb). The neck profile was very similar to my Warwick Corvette $$, quite chunky in depth but very comfortable to play (reasonably narrow at the nut - again, like a Warwick) and very fast. Brass nut and the 5-piece laminate neck makes it nice and solid. Gotoh tuners too, if I recall. All in all, great basses; I've almost convinced myself to buy it....I've been after a 5 string.. BUMP!
