  1. If it's anything like the couple of Stagg's I've had in my paws, that's about three times what I'd pay for it!
  2. The Peavey Backstage Plus is a guitar amp. I play with a guitarist who used to have one - from what I remember it sounded pretty good, but that was probably 40 years ago, and my memory ain't what it was...
  3. Axesrus? https://www.axesrus.co.uk/Barrel-Knobs-s/1943.htm
  4. Almost certainly! The difference is probably around 5 Ohms/km. It's not just about a couple of metres of speaker cable... 😄
  5. Conversion chart: https://www.carreracasting.com/charts/wire-gauge
  6. Yup. Avoiding anything from Poundland made of cheese, any half decent pair of side cutters will do the job.
  7. Seems like you might have this covered, however... if it can get to Cambridge - ish, I can get it to Lozz from there.
  8. Never mind that, what about car tyres, they're all different sizes...
  9. Companies plural? Is there more than one?
  10. That's all very well, but as I fully expect to be using devices with 'legacy' connections way past that, I'll carry on using leads with 3 different connectors one one end. I can't get excited, or annoyed, by this stuff.
  11. And USB-C won't charge my laptop, cameras, power bank or e-reader...
  12. This. I gigged for years with a 120W amp into a single 4 Ohm 115, and I've also sucessfully gigged a 250W amp (175W into 8 Ohm) through a single 8 Ohm 210. All depends on the venue, your expectations, and how much volume you need (rather than want! Most pub bands, for example, play far too loud IMO)
  13. Agreed. Are they even scratches? Looks like the front could be cracks in the finish?
  14. Interesting, but not really relevant to the specific point that I was responding to.
  15. I'm sure that's often the case, but it needn't be. London 2012, for example.
  16. Ah, I thought the markings were already on the neck, and not that you'd added them !
  17. No, your post makes perfect sense. Apologies if I appeared to suggest otherwise. I was simply observing that the oft quoted mantra of "righty tighty, lefty loosey" is ambiguous, as evidenced by the fact that it needs additional words to clarify exactly what it means... If the markings in the original post had instead used an anti-clockwise arrow for loosen, instead of a left pointing arrow, and a clockwise symbol instead of the right pointing arrow, it's immediately obvious and unambiguous.
  18. Not really, because it needs a qualifier (the reference to 12 o'clock) in order for it to be unambiguous. Sayiing "anti/clockwise", and marking as such, would avoid that ambiguity.
  19. Well those markings are as good as useless. Does the top of the adjuster need to go right (clockwise) to tighten, or the bottom of the adjuster go right (anti clockwise)? I'd assume it's a normal right-hand thread, and clockwise would tighten it. If they're going to bother with markings, why not use markings that're meaningful ? 🙄
  20. Topic headings appear bold if the viewer hasn't rread the latest post in that topic. If you don't see it as bold, doesn't mean others don't either. Or have I misunderstood you ?
