I'm happy with the main stuff - instruments, amps, cabs etc - that I've had for probably 10 years, and I've enough plectrums, strings etc to see me out I reckon. So unless a new battery for a clip-on tuner counts...I'm still in.

Likewise I can't recall any bass players off the top of my head, but Tony McPhee played guitar like that.

I've had that too. I get the email/barcode up on my phone, and get them to scan that. It's always worked for me.

The hunt for my ideal bass ended when I got my Yam BB1024. I've also a Westone Thunder 1 that I'll never sell, but for different reasons

I used to have a front ported Ashdown 210.

Personally I wouldn't bother. Old school 15's (Ashdown/Trace/Peavey etc) can be had cheap, and would be more sellable than something that's been hacked about. Just my opinion...

Agreed. I've used one for... a long time. FOH on one channel, monitors on the other - done the job for the last 15 years at least.

No first hand experience of their basses, but I've owned a Tokai Love Rock (Les Paul) and one of their Strat copies from the 80's (I think it had something cheesey like "oldies but goldies" on the headstock) and both were fabulous guitars. I do have a Vintage (brand) P bass - possibly a VB4, not sure - and it's... OK. Decent Wilkinson hardware - nothing to get excited about, but I'd happily gig with it.

I have, on occasion and depending on the design of the jack, been able to pull a tiny contact file, from my Strowger days, between the contacts. For a clean barrel & t/r contacts, a squirt of Servisol on a cotton bud is my preference.
