gawp at old (mostly now dead) peoples instruments and imagine how much better you’d sound if you’d had their kit, or (and this is my favourite) curse yourself for selling the very instruments pictured before you.
I played a B Bass V for years, but I outgrew the skinny string spacing and moved onto fender style 5s, just because the string spacing was easier for me to navigate.
Has it been the same fault recurring, or was it something different each time? If it’s been going back in for the same fault time and time again then I’d be having a bit of a word, if not then it’s a different story. Not sure that £600 (or £800) in repairs over 3 years is a cost effective piece of kit.
I gigged up and down the country with an 1153 cab. Often it was augmented with a 2103h (2x10”) -both in landscape, but for the gigs when it was a choice between the 2 cabs I would always take the 1153
