1. Dunno, maybe a 5 string unlined fretless Jazz with two humbuckers (but switchable between single coil and humbucking) and a John East pre. Swamp ash body , maple neck, ebony fingerboard, tort plate and olympic white finish. Not that I've given it MUCH thought. Pretty please...
2. Ms Hathaway is a brilliant singer - she's on Marcus Miller's "live and more" album doing 'summertime' (with Poogie Bell on drums too) http://youtu.be/G-SyzPda7RA
3. Good man - on all fronts!
4. Yeah, i should do some 'selfies' (i think that's what the young people call them) of my well-maintained beard before it goes down the sink.
5. Lightning Bolt from Pearl Jam.
6. Or give Derek at Watford Valves a call - I seriously doubt that there's nothing he doesn't know about valves.
7. Bump for price reduction - it's sitting on my kitchen table, taking up valuable newspaper* space. *not that I read them, it's for the kids' paintings etc...
8. A brief look through a couple of Boss (GE7B and OC2) schematics reveals that they use a 3.9kΩ resistor for the LED
9. I've bought similar adaptors in the past and have always had a very pleasant, hassle-free experience.
10. Not Jazzy, but certainly interesting... http://youtu.be/u7QaKxfa2kI
11. Buffet B12 clarinets are great for metal
12. Not used that one. A cheaper alternative would be the ARTEC SE3PA. I've got on in my fretless jazz and it's lovely. http://artecsound.com/pickups/index.html
13. Samples here: http://snd.sc/1gbXyB9
14. sold
15. That Fender tone stack crops up in a lot of places, most recently a derivative can be found on the LH series amps from Hartke.
16. I used to play a Hohner Jack way back in the day - lovely instruments with über-comfortable necks. Nostalgic bump!
17. Gibson EB0?
18. Pffft. I already made a wah with a LPF on board. Don't look like that though...
19. I'll get me coat
20. Moog have announced the release of their new line on mini pedals. Well, 'mini' in comparison to normal Moog pedals... http://bassmusicianm...ian+Magazine%29 It is nice!
21. It's also World Mental Health Day. Coincidence?
22. I sent my drummer a virtual hug via FB... on the proviso that he didn't try to cop a feel at the same time. Pervert!
23.
Never really gave much credence to Abba songs at the time, but on reflection, Rutger Gunnarsson's basslines are a treat... BB
Yup.
24. I do it all the time. I'm currently rocking "Debut" by Björk and "Highball with the devil" from Les Claypool.
25. You should be fine with any LED. There'll be a resistor on the board to drop the supply to it. Putting either 9 or 12v through an LED will fry it, just make sure it's the right way around.
