It's actually a post Gordon Smith Gordy Blueshift. They are very nice basses but I think this is a little overpriced for such a niche instrument. They made headless basses too - similar to Status. There is a thread on here about them somewhere. Edit he actually gives the link in the listing.

Very sad vastly underrated player from one of the best bands.

The main record shop was a small one man operation that catered for all tastes. HMV did it bigger....and cheaper. Andy's Records also lost out several years ago although they were a 'chain' they sold some pretty obscure stuff. It's good to know that Electron Records - opened in 1946 - in my old stomping ground of Burnley is still going strong, still family owned and importing all kinds of esoteric records as well as mainstream stuff. Apparently John Lennon bought a few discs from there back in the days before the Beatles got really big.

I have mixed views on HMV; sad that people have lost their jobs and for those who bought vouchers as gifts in these times of austerity. Choice was woeful in my local branch much to the disgust of many of those who both shopped and worked there. The fact that HMV was calling itself a 'specialist retailer' but ended up selling mobile phones, games and iPads showed how it had lost its way. The notion it has become a dinosaur has been argued elsewhere. It's also worth acknowledging the part it played in closing down many smaller retailers by its huge purchasing power in not so distant times. I hope it allows the small independent shops to get back a bit of that lost business.

....interesting argument however if you do an image search for something on Google you will often come across pictures of items you may have bought and sold on eBay or other sites. I have seen quite a few vintage synths that belong or have belonged to me, appearing in these image searches and often reappearing in listings. I'd only be worried if they were selling something I still owned and 1) weren't acknowledging it as an example of a piece of kit ie 'looks something like this' or 2) it was clearly fraudulent and they were just trying to make a quick buck from an old listing - I have reported this kind of activity in the past. If I'd sold it them I wouldn't be too worried if they'd used my pics but its good practice to acknowledge that in the listing. You often see this on here 'apologies to ...... for using their pics, hope that's ok' etc. a nod to the original 'author' of the pics is a welcome courtesy.

I think we share the same taste Karl, I had my beady on this. I foolishly sold my 3000 a year or so back when I needed to sort out my old house. Doh!
