1.
Yes I do, although I usually only see Joe when he is doing the annual Light of Day stuff here in January. Glad to make your acquaintance.
Likewise. The band I was in toured with Joe and Stone Caravan here a few years ago. I try to get to see him and the boys when they're over here as they always play one of our local pubs.
2. Welcome Tom. You must know Joe D'Urso and Mr Lou.
3. Welcome indeed.
4.
Hiya, Any interest in Trading for a very nice MIJ Fender Jazz 5 string ? Best Wishes Mike
Thanks for the offer Mike but I'm not interested in any 5-strings as I have too many already, hence the for sale ad for the Shuker. I once owned a 5-string Jazz and found it unplayable due to width of the neck and the shortness of my fingers.
5. March bump. Will sell for £1000 or trade + cash for late 60s/early 70s Fender Jazz or original Musicman Sterling.
6. Thunderfunk TFB550 Bass Amplifier retro-fitted with "The Switch". includes manual and rack mount kit. £550 cash or bank transfer. Postage extra or can meet/deliver within reason. Could be interested in trade + cash either way for Fender MIJ Jazz, Musicman Sterling (original version not later Sterling by MM), early/mid 1970s Jazz.

8.
`chris` at bass centre which is now at bagshot..........................
Bagshot? Where exactly?
9.
Thanks Dave, ho hum. Looks like a great sounding practice (as opposed to gigging) cab on my hands for the foreseeable future then!
if you can't take the impedance down then take the watts up and drive it from a bridged power amp that will deliver oodles of watts into 8-ohms.
10. It will either be 2 x 4-ohm speakers in series to make 8-ohms or 2 x 16-ohm speakers in parallel to make 8-ohms. Either way you can't rewire it to be 4-ohms. The Laws of Physics won't let you.
11. I think you'll find that the two 8-ohm sockets are in parallel. You can either plug in a pair of 8-ohm cabs or a single 4-ohm cab into one of the jacks and leave the other vacant.
12. Pictures added to original post.

14.
obbm - how much would you want for the half-rack?
£20 plus postage
15.
I think you should make a full size rack and sell me your Boss tuner and the 1/2 rack
I'm just about to order a custom flightcase to take the Fusion, tuner and dbx so I will sell you the rack. In fact i have 2 of them to go.

18. Very sorry to hear this but unfortunately it happens. I know you've invested a lot of time in amassing the correct gear for the Bones gig but it's all knowledge and experience. Over the past couple of years I've been involved in several attempted start-ups which were never going to work and also rejoined a former band but after 3 rehearsals I found out that all the bad things that made me want to leave still existed and it was time to walk. Then up pops a great opportunity and I'm back with a regular band again. Have a break and eventually something is bound to come up that will be just what you want.
19. Since I made that rack last summer I have had to upgrade the head to a GK MB Fusion, which of course, doesn't fit. Now for Plan B.
20. After my enforced layoff for almost 3 years I was back in harness again last night having joined a established band a couple of weeks ago. Two full sets and a couple of encores to an enthusiastic crowd at The Swan in Farnborough. Negotiations for me to join have been going on for a couple of months which gave me ample time to learn their set list. A great mix of songs and not a 12-bar among them. Punters were happy, band were happy, I'm happy and we'll do it again next Friday. It's great to be back.
21. Welcome. There are quite a few Surrey BCers. Which side of the county are you?
22. very simply any small mixer would do what you want as long as it has at least a single mic/line input and a stereo input for CD/iPod/PC. I use a small Soundcraft Notepad which has 4 mic/line and 4 stereo inputs and is much more flexible. I plug my bass straight into the mixer. Because the line-out from the Markbass is a DI out I would assume that it comes before the main volume control in which case you can just turn that down and keep the speaker connected. What the manual doesn't show is whether the DI is pre or post EQ. If the line-out is after the main volume control then you will need to run the amp with the speakers disconnected.
