1.
I would love a free ticket if anyone still has a spare
PM me your email and I'll send one across.
2. If anyone else wants tickets for Sunday, I have two going begging. It would be a shame to shred them.
3. I have 2 free tickets for Sunday if anyone wants them. I bought my ticket for Sunday a few weeks ago but just for fun entered a competition and have just won two tickets. First come first served.
4. I have a Fischer ButtKicker Mini LFE ( https://www.thomann.de/gb/fischer_amps_buttkicker_mini_lfe.htm?ref=search_rslt_fischer_111973_0 ) attached to my stool and it is certainly not limited to a single frequency. It's driven through a sub-woofer filter which cuts off anything above about 270Hz. I used it on a recent gig fed with my bass and a kick drum mic and it was excellent. Because I could feel the bass I didn't need my amp too loud and was able to do the gig wit my hearing aids in. Next stage is to build a small Pleasure Board device on which I can stand or use any stool and see how it goes.
5. A quick bump for these excellent cabs. Steve and I played in a band together some years ago and he is a great guy to deal with.
6. I have a former band mate who now lives up near you who is involved in Open Mic/Jam nights at Marehay and Hallfieldgate. Any use to you?
7. Very nice Si. Takes me back about 10 years when I had a DJ4 that I bought on Ebay from Nick OldHorseMurphy - that was before I knew he was a BC member. I really liked smaller body and the superb neck.
8. I shall be there on the Sunday. if anyone needs any cables then I can bring them with me and save you the postage.
9. Does your SD pick-up have the phantom coil underneath? If so you will have to rethink any coil-switching because it's part of the pre-amp circuitry.
10. Back in the early days, 2005 & 2006 I think, we had two national Bass Bashes at a hotel just off the M1 near Northampton.
11. Well I just tried to buy a ticket in the name of my company, Rock-Wire Limited, but because I do not have a VAT number I was unable to do so. Not all companies are registered for VAT. Also the ticket web site is a dreadful design, asking for the same information to be entered 3 times and putting a time limit on data entry. Not a good way to encourage people to buy tickets. {/rant]

Kev's Feedback

Another motorway service area meeting to drink coffee, move a Berg speaker from one car to another and activate an on-line payment by phone- the wonders of modern technology. Thanks Kev. Enjoy the cab. I hope your B.O.T.B. entry is successful.

14. Bergantino CN212 including padded Berg cover. Very little use and always treated with great care so in excellent condition apart from a small indentation on the top. This is probably the best cab I have ever owned however the way things are now I cannot realistically justify keeping it. I bought this when I was gigging with a loud covers band but those days are over and it has had very little use over the past couple of years. 15. What a shame that in their desire to make the ELF as small as possible they have reverted to the antiquated 1/4-inch jack for the speaker output rather than the more robust and secure Speakon.
16. I've just checked and the outer that I cut from Sommer LLX cable and throw away slips nicely over a 2.1mm plug. If you are passing anytime Colin you can have a few.
17.
They are (were?) members on here: http://basschat.co.u...sed-mij-basses/
Thanks. I'll pm him and see what happens.
18. Has anyone had any dealings with Ebay seller bass_japan_direct? If so what were your experiences?
19. Looks very similar in scale length/size to my Westfield, which sounds great.
20.
Positive so far, which is great. I'll start thinking some more about the venue and date. My initial thought is early Autumn, but it's just a thought at the moment.
In that case please take into consideration that the South East Bass Bash is usually held in late September.
21. Could well be tempted.
22. Ideally you need to find someone who has a tube tester who can check them individually. Unfortunately the only guy that I know of who might be able to help is in my part of the world. I doubt that it's the 12AX7s as they go on for years however I seem to remember that a number of problems with the output tubes surfaced not long after the Prodigy was launched. Have you tried reseating them all?
23. There's always the Bacchus Mini Jazz. https://www.deviser-bacchus.com/products/universe-series-bass/wjb-mini/ Available from The Guitar Den.
24.
Not teeny tiny but at £40... https://www.gumtree....01777399014%7C0
If this is the 24/25-inch scale version then it is a great buy. I have one and strung with cut-down flats sounds just like a full size Precision. Very rare. Someone please buy it.
25. and it's not even a real Jazz, it's a PJ.
